I have no problem with Fukuda being a bitch to the guy, but I think the other sidekick guy and their supposed romantic subplot is a complete waste of time.

Overall, I feel that the manga needs more conflict. It's too... boring to be just a sappy feel-good thing, and the tiny misunderstandings between the main characters feel contrived.

Agreed, it's a bit too much "smooth sailing" kind of feeling. In fact the whole point of this manga is to make otaku feel better about themselves, so heaven forbid there is actually any real conflict with real obstacles to overcome.

I also have no problem with Fukuda being bitchy towards the guy but for some reason I don't really like the rather obviously "forced"(that may be a tad strong a word but thats how it seems to me) pairing of her and the Yuuto's best friend.
Usually the obvious "best friends getting together" thing never really bothers me but just does here.

It is too harsh if we are talking about anyone else than Fukada, She really is the most hate-able second role character and author is making her more disgusting with each chapter.

She is the sole reason I stopped enjoying this manga. Really. She needs to die. Preferably slow and painfully.

this manga is light hearted and funny as befitting the magazine it comes from after all K-ON came from it as well. Fukada is amusing in her own way even with the bullying of Sakuraba

Not sure I'd go to the extent of Dark, but her character is extremely annoying...

Books are also paper and ink and look how many got killed because of them. That paper and ink provoke emotions which are very, very real despite the source of the provocation - artificial.

I don't see anything amusing about Fukada. She is horribly annoying character. I actually dont think I ever saw another second role character in lighthearted manga whom I would want to disappear this badly. This manga was certainly much better before it started pushing this retarded character and the utterly-forced brain-dead sub-romance between two best friends of the mains.

I guess I am the odd one out then because I don't see her as annoying but only as a comedic character.

Then again if I hated a character as much as you guys seem to I would stop reading the manga instead of agonizing over it.

I don't think Fukuda is harsh.... It's normal for yandere-type character.... XD

She is a bitch, not a yandere. Haven't seen anything of yandere. Tsunderes switch from nice persona to a bitch just as easy, yandere howerver tries to kill rather than being a just a bitch, and thats the main difference between type B tsundere. So if the next time you see a nice girl become all bitchy but she doenst try to kill anyone - she is not a yandere, but most likely a Type B tsundere.

Fukuda however is not type B tsundere, because she doesnt switch from nice to bitch, she is nice to her friend and a total bitch to the main guy. There is no switching really. Just like poeple in normal life - to some you are nice, and to some you are a total dick.

No Yandere or Type B tsundere here. Just plain old bitch.

Actually i kinda like her and hate her, i am somehwat for this kind of manga, if she is so bitchy towards someone is that i found it funny and hilarious! Of course for serious and action manga i dont like it!, But for this light-hearted manga bitching and trolling someone might be funnier...in the end i just laugh how the main character is being bitched by fukuda
And btw, the art is REALLLY NICE AND CLEAN, I LIKE IT! BUt it lacks background, probably to compensate th moe-ness of the character...

Really though, what a fun read. Also, I don't know why people hate Fukuda? Besides that one time it's not like she's really ripping Kashiwagi away from Yuuto. I actually think she's hilarious.
