A New Visual Novel from Ryukishi07, KEY, and Tanaka Romeo

Considering the utter chaos with Key's site and sub-site, here is the picture

So... It IS real!! KEY already depressing stories mixed with the gore and mystery of Higurashi/Umineko... DO WANT!

I'm not surprised! This will be so epic I still can't believe it.

Anyway, Shinorii, Mochisuke and Minimo just seem to be regular employees attached to Key according to the wiki. Same seems to be true of Torino (he definitely did the backgrounds for Kanon and Air, at least).

Edit - Ryukishi's put a new pic (not related to the game) up on his homepage along with an announcement he'll be contributing to the scenario. More and more believable...

I guess the mixi article confirms it...I was skeptical at first.

You know, I'm more excited for this than for a Little Busters TL, if anyone gets around to doing this. This looks to be really good, just judging a book by its cover. And they have quite a few good scenario writers.

Too bad Maeda Jun isn't writing a scenario. I know he said he would only be doing music, it's just kind of sad without him.

Key staff blog's been updated with confirmation by Shinji Orito that yes, it's real. Followed by a lengthy story about how his internet at home failed, the load on the server has been immense since the announcement, and he doesn't know Tonogawa Yuuto's mobile number.

It almost feel like they planned to do an April fool, but decided to make it real before posting that :heh:

The more I thought about it the more it made sense, and with all these confirmations flying about when it's past April 1st... I wanted to believe it from the beginning anyway. Now to wait for more info!

Nothing major, someone posted a link saying 'Those foreigners hear about this stuff quickly' to the reply 'Typical foreigners', then it went off about making eroge patches, fansubs and asking how popular Umineko was in the West because of Sterling's avatar.

This sounds like it'll be a good game, though I may be thinking this just because that Tag line causght my interest, now if only I could read Japanese...........

The epic potential for pure, uninhibited BAWW-inducing greatness from Ryuukishi07 and Key joining forces has caused my head to explode.

My sentiments exactly.....Now I just have to hope that some one will make a game patch for it, when it's released.

I may be motivated to suffer through my mediocre moonspeak and read it with a dictionary in one hand and a mouse in the other.
