For those who haven't been keeping track, Rocksteady is already working on the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum, which is slated to come out next year. In the meantime, have some screens:

Oddly enough, my favorite part about Arkham Asylum was those Riddler Challenges. I hope they include them in City, too, though I wonder if it'd be as interesting to explore as the Asylum.

And I hope that I must have a Windows Live account to save and a free DRM so I can play. Plus a few dozen extra runtime packages to cheer up the system. :rolleyes:

Harley as Masquerade Goth = Hot (though the pics do not confirm whether she will actually be in the game or not). And hopefully Catwoman (who is also equally hot) will be a playable character (if only for a chapter or two).

So let's summarize what's been confirmed for this game.....
- This is confirmed the LAST time Mark Hamill will be voicing The Joker - Characters revealed (with their voice actor) are Riddler (Wally Wingert), Mr. Freeze (Maurice LaMarche), Talia al Ghul (Stana Katic), Two-Face, Hugo Strange (Christopher Lee), Catwoman, Victor Zsasz, Harley Quinn, and Calander Man - Multiplayer - Gang fights will form out for territory for their leaders (Two-Face, Joker, etc) - Detective Mode will be changed to a more "augmented reality mode", as players in the first game had beaten the game with Detective Mode on all the time - Fighting System will be improved (more counters, counters for thrown object, use of gadgets in combat, etc) - Riddler's Riddles will be harder to solve, as some locations will require you to interrogate some of Riddler's lackeys - Kevin Conroy has stated that this game is "really, really dark", comparing it to Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker Spoiler for Arkham City Plot Summary:

A change in the Detective Mode is what I am really looking forward to. Damn blue tint nearly ruined the first game (can't wait to see a gameplay trailer at the next E3 showing us just how much the DM has changed). And the upgraded Riddler side quests sound greatly improved.

Yeah Arkham Asylum was a blast and I agree possibly the best comic book game to ever come out. I eagerly await Arkham City and the promise of even greater freedom.

One of the rare games where I don't have any doubts that it will rock. The first one was a true peace of art for me and the developers will pull this one out with no problems I'm sure.
