President G.W. Bush dodges shoes in Iraq
If there's one thing that could be said about Bush, he sure has some damn quick reflexes xD

Spoiler for saving space:
I just did see that in the news and there are these kind of pictures and animations out there... ROFL :D |
All those security guards and not one of them appears to go for the shoes, nor do they appear to remove the President from the situation.
|
Everyone in the room except possibly Bush understood the ritualistic nature of the shoe throwing (and you wonder if they were silently cheering the moment). They're interviewing people on the street in the US and most of them are completely clueless about the symbolic nature of the expression --- they just think its bizarre. Meanwhile the guy is a folkhero in Arabic and other countries now....
I will say I think that's the fastest anyone has ever seen Bush move in public. :) |
He's also one of the fittest commander in chief to serve the US:p

This was the ritualistic nature, right?
|
No, actually, this ritual has its origins in Taiwan.
The Iraqi watered it down by lots already. |
I heard Bush trained with Goku in 100 times Gravity to help those reflexes...The shoe actually never had a chance because the whole time he was looking at Bush's after-image^^...
Seriously though, that has to be the most disgraceful scene in the history of modern presidential politics...That's the legacy of Bush..The Prez that had to dodge not one, but two dusty Rockports while being the leader of the freeworld..That's the perfect cherry on top for the worst president ever...It'd be truly sad if it wasn't so funny... |
