Valentines

With Valentine's Day fast approaching, I wonder what everybody's plans are on this day.

Me, I plan go to out with friends and go bar hopping around the city.

Chichi 2006-02-09 15:19

It’s become commonplace for both of us to arrange the day’s plans. We ‘re planning to go to the park for a picnic with friends during the day, and later on to a restaurant for the evening on our own. Nothing too romantic.

Cyz 2006-02-09 15:29

Hmm, the question is what gift are you giving your beloved this Valentines Day? A heart shape box of chocolates? A dozen of red roses? Or maybe, a 24 karat golden ring with 3 diamonds in the middle?

4 o'clock, wallow in self pity; 4:30, stare into the abyss; 5:00, solve world hunger
-...tell no one. 5:30, jazzercize. 6:30, dinner with me. I can't cancel that again.
7:00, wrestle with my self-loathing;
I'm booked. Of course, if I bump the loathing to 9 I could still be done in time to lay in bed, stare at the ceiling and slip slowly into madness.

I'll be giving my love a new Air-filter

In this country all the motels get full, in really something for the books, you see at noon lines of cars waiting their turn to get in to this motel.. just for you to know, Motels are not use for spend the night when traveling....

I don't get out of my house this day, because anything that looks like a Restaurant or a Motel, is full of people...really and awful day to go out.

cheyannew 2006-02-09 16:33

Going to work, coming home, just like every other day.

Romance is not limited to 1 day a year for us; my husband'll give me flowers or jewelry just because ;) Makes it more special than just once a year, methinks...

Rachy 2006-02-09 16:51

going to school i think .. romantic as it may be.

Mr_Paper 2006-02-09 16:57

Ah... Valentine's Day, the one holiday in the year where the world kicks you while you're down and laughs at you for being single. Then, even if you avoid that, how can one argue with a holiday that preaches the commercialized version of romance, 'the more you buy them the more they'll love you.'

My plans: I'm planning on having a not-so-romantic dinner by myself consisting of Kraft Dinner and potatoes after which I'll watch the news and play MMO golf before heading to bed.

Chichi 2006-02-09 17:04

I can understand what you mean, but incidentally, however commercialised it may be, it’s still a nice opportunity for those who do have someone to share the day with to do so. The whole commercial side of it is lessened somewhat by what you make of it.

I can’t say I’m the type to go overly dramatic about any type of ‘special’ day really, but it’s a bit of fun, so I’m more than happy to take part.

Nope it isn't, since when do you need a date in your agenda to be romantic
and wouldn't it be more possible to be romantically with eachother if it were a real
holiday and the both of you actually *gasp* had a day off?

When did I ever state that you couldn’t be romantic without a date?

Regarding your other sardonic comment. Considering the topic is about Valentines Day, I’m typing specifically about what I plan to do on that particular day, since that’s what the original poster asked. This has nothing to do with what I plan to do on any other day, nor can I see how it is relevant.

Edit:

On a further note to Nightbat to conclude this dispute. Valentines Day is only a bit of fun, or at least for me. I don’t see it as the pinnacle day of love or anything like that but merely for what it represents. It’s like Christmas, it’s fun to celebrate it, or in this case, do something romantic. This doesn’t necessarily mean I won’t do something romantic any other day of the year, not at all, of course I will… All I was saying was, don't frown upon something like Valentines Day, but rather, single or not, like I said before, make the most of it.

Going to work and working late too :(, and maybe eating a grapefruit somewhere in between all that :p...I know its really exciting !!!! right !? :eyespin:

Catgirls 2006-02-09 22:59

Wake up.

Wake up. Eat. Work until 4 PM. Go the gym and work out for an hour. Come home and put in a 3 mile run. Slam a Twin Lab Whey protein shake that tastes like ass followed by a shot of fresh wheatgrass juice. Shower. Take some flowers to my mother's grave, wish her a happy Valentines Day and tell her I’m okay. Come home. Log on to the forums. Ban someone. Watch an episode of Pita Ten. Eat. Sleep.

HoboGod 2006-02-10 00:18

Saw II gets released on DVD that day. So I'll be in front of the TV, rewatching the more sadistic scenes until I can reenact them in my head. :D

DwArD 2006-02-10 03:58

Hmm....I'm still single so I guess I'll just ask my mom or dad to buy me a box of chocolate on their way home from work. My exams are coming up so I suppose I'm stuck at home revising my work:(

Not to go too off topic, but purely out of curiosity what’s your work out routine? As for the shakes, I can completely understand. I take the Anabolic Mass from Garnell, the strawberry flavour. Originally I use to take it with skimmed milk, but amazingly as of late I’ve been drinking it with simply water.

Valentines day

Valentine's Day? Hmmm lets see on Tuesday I will probably be doing the same thing I do most evenings - nothing. Except that like Darkhorse and Catgirls I will exercise first and then eat and then do nothing

Pellissier 2006-02-10 07:59

My tuesday will, among the other things, be a day of classes at University, which means staying with friends (since it will be the first day of the new semester I guess we won't have much lessons :) )
No plans for the evening since on wednesday I'll have very likely to wake up early :upset: ^^

Ebichuman 2006-02-10 08:16

Get home from work at 5am. Sleep 'till noon. Go to the bookstore to buy the Boogiepop and Others novel being released that day(Woohoo! :D ). Read as much as I can until I go back to work...
