Spartacus: Blood and Sand
 

Just found out about this today from a friend and god how could I have missed this!





The gore, the blood, the violence, the blood, the epicness, the blood is just amazing.
Maybe not anything new or actually astounding but a very entertaining watch, which is what matters to me.

This looks pretty kickass. Although, why does everyone use the Hydralisk sound bite from Starcraft? Talking about 1:25. It's seriously used in everything.

whats with all the remakes? writers on strike again?

my older brother loves this show! everytime i see the commercial it reminds me of 300 all over again!

It decent not the greatest show the but massive amounts of killing, gratuitous sex and nudity makes it fun to watch :heh: no one did it like the Romans and by did it i mean massive amounts of orgies. :heh:

i saw the first 2 episodes here and i thought it was kick ass, the only thing was the blood shots. the amounts of blood that doesn't fit the wound and hits, other then. wooooooooooooow, freaking cool O_O.:twitch:

maybe about rome and stuff, but nothing like this. you have to see it to understand it fully, and i don't think the history chanal would air something so ehm.... i think it was called obscure. with constant nudity, the severation of limbs and the amounts of blood that gets spilled.

Bloody hells (no pun intended) you had me until the gratuitous sex part...

I'd love for them to make series that don't involve softcore porn.. the Tudors seemed to be along the same lines (though not much blood).

I can honestly say I don't watch any shows with gratuitous sex in them. Not that I watch TV much anyway.
In fact, I don't think I watch anything that I cannot watch in front of my kids.... It's the prude in me :)

Haven't watched it yet but the orgies got me interested , Caligula all over again . Is it a good show apart from Xena Tardom and Orgies ? . I don't mind orgies never did but if you take them out is it enjoyable ? . I will check out the first episode but just wanted some input .

Anyway, i'm sad to know that Andy's cancer is back since i love the show.
Here's hoping for a quick and healthy recovery.

It could be about the time Spartacus lead a rebellious army against Rome after being freed from Gladiatorial games. Or it could just be about his Gladiator battles.

Yep, sadly but true, it was just confirmed that he won't be able to play Spartacus again on season 2, very sad about this new, I think he was doing it great. :(

I've followed this serie sonce episode 1, it has good stuff and bad stuff, but it's quite intriguing. I can only complain that the gore scenes are poorly worked and quite overdone, sometimes the blood doesn't come out from the "correct" place. Also I think some episodes have too much sex scenes, really too much, I think they should focus on the plot a bit more. Otherwise the tittle should be changed to Spartacus: Blood and fu@%& XD

It's very saddening about Andy, but I really hope they won't end the series there. It's pretty much one of my favourite shows, and no, it's not just because of the gayness D:

I don't personally mind all the sex, in fact, the show would lose a lot of appeal for me if it weren't so. The Romans just loved orgies and sex and this is all what there is to it.

My fav ever thing was that dick monument for Spartacus, I researched and the Romans actually did that! Ha!

With Andy gone there is going to be a Six part Prequel . It going to start airing in January 2011 and is going to be called Gods of the Arena . I hope they dont close shop after prequel . They could replace Andy ... stressing on could ..

Well there is always Caligula

Seen this whole serie, i enjoyed it.

Finaly a serie that aint scared to show some nudity, blood.
This show has nude men and women in it, alot of sex and blood. Don't watch infront of your children.

To bad about the lead player having cancer, hate to see a lead player be replaced just like that. But cancer takes priority to take care off.
