Hah I can't believe we do not have a thread for this.

Game is coming out in about 16 days. Final game of the series..or so they say.

Are you guys just exited as I am? In 16 days we will go on another vengeance vendetta with our favorite anti hero Kratos.

Gonna kick some Olympian ass :D. I just can't wait. Already booked ultimate edition on "Game" :).

So you guys do you think this will be best GOW so far?

Well I'm really wondering whether they can keep up the success this time. haven't read or watched any previews yet i don't know if they have some fresh new elements that can keep GOW ahead of its predecessors' more or less successful clones like bayonetta and darksiders. Of course they could just go the same way like in gow 2, perfecting and polishing what they already have but i'm not sure it will be enough this time, all which is not to say it's going to be a great game nevertheless, I just fear it'll not be as outstanding as the first 2 games - i like to proven wrong, we'll have to see.

I really can't wait to play this game. I'm a huge GOW fan. This time, improving the combat system and smoothly integrating puzzles throughout the game were the big focus. It is now advisable for players to no longer button mash or do the same combos over and over again, otherwise the CPU AI is going to adapt and retaliate harshly. Furthermore, it is essential to use different weapons for different situations; so that adds for some nice diversity in the fighting department.

And of course, this game wraps up the story about Kratos and his strife with the gods. What an awesome climax. It's going to be great seeing Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, pwn the titans :D.

Eh these types of games are beneath me now. After playing Dante' inferno it just killed my anticipation for this game......As a buy.

I'm still gonna rent it like I did the rest. :)

If you watched the latest footage from game trailers, you'd see that GoW3 blows Dante's Inferno away. It's probably the best or the 2nd best looking game on the PS3 so far.

Completely blew away my expectations. Day 1 purchase for sure.

I like the GoW series . This one seems great as the previous opus .
For me , Dante's inferno is just a copy/paste from GoW . See all the similitaries .

Though GoW isn't to my taste either, comparing Dante's inferno to GoW is like comparing a go kart to a formula 1 car.

i hate how its coming out the week after my spring break. i guess i have to wait 'till summer to play it. hopefully by then it'll be a little cheaper :p

first person victim deaths are crazy. i have a feeling it'll blow my mind when i get to that part.

It's not about some new fresh elements. Like the saying goes:: "You should not fix something that is not broken". They tried it with DMC 2 and so far that was worst game in DMC series if you ask me.

No they should just polish the game to the max and give us best value for our money.

And that is what I think they will do. Quantity and quality combined. That is what we need. More and better of everything that we currently have.

Can't wait to get my hands on this game as me and my friend are like really huge GOW fans. :D

In any case, we still have yet to know the judgement from the harshest critics. Game Informer is quite the lenient one from my impressions.

Have to say GoW3 is looking impressive, especially with that GT feature awhile ago. Though it still looks like more of the same(gamplaywise), though that isn't a problem if the rest is awesome. :O

preordered the triology edition off of wal-mart. cost me 96$ but it is so damn worth it. i mean, come on, PANDORAS BOX!!!

Well, Bayonetta is a budget game compared to GoW3. Still, even though GoW3 definitely beats it in production values and will be a blast to play through, that still doesn't mean the combat system is as good.

I still don't see how the combat system was any better than DMC =\ maybe the addition of the stripper poses i assume?

Don't have a PS3, but thanks to my friends I have managed to play several games from start to finish. :)

is that the the golden fleece from GOW2 and will it work the same way? if that's so then that will make things even a little easier for me.
