No I think the simpler way to put it was Sochie had gained feelings for Loran as had Loran through their trials and tribulations. But fact is Loran only had eyes for Dianna herself, the kiss at the end was more or less Loran dumping Sochie and telling here he was in love with Dianna not her. Hence why Sochie afterwards ran off crying. Its not far fetched you know, Loran was completely obsessed with Dianna from day one.

i seem a little late, but after going through all this i just have to agree that this serious was so GOOD.

I can't complain about anything really, its moved to #1 on my list as well.

But something i did wonder about. I think that Old man Sid is a tribute to the main mecha designer syd mead. because, they look almost the same in appearance and the old man is the only guy in the series that is truly interested in the mecha with a passion. guin just wanted them to catch up with the moon in technology.
