Any B - A grade visual novels amongst the trash? (Need opinions!)
I am posting to ask for your opinion, from what I read here. There seems to be a lot of people who experienced their fair share of hentai / ero / visual novel games. I tried several, though my Japanese is limited so are my choices until I can grasp the language.
I have, currently.. Da Capo Plus Communication (25% translation~) Da Capo II (Sadly, im waiting till I learn the language to play this :P ) Wind -A Breath Of Heart- Re:gratitutde (Translation for this, loved it) Shuffle! (Waiting on the translation really..) Figures of Happiness (Meh) Little My Maid (How Did I get this in the first place, I don't remember.) So out of all those games.. to use an example would be like Wind or Da Capo (Though more leaning torwards Wind). I know theres a gold mine of games that aren't translated, hence why I am learning the language. But till then, I am filling in the time slot playing the translated games. I have heard that Kana my little sister was a good title, also Crescendo and Private Nurse. Though is there anymore? I like to do a bit more research and ask around before I go off spending an arm and a leg like I did for Wind when the translation came out~ Out of the games I bought, I don't want something like Little My Maid or Figures of Happiness, where in the first minute you get to a sex scene, followed by five more minutes of nonsense and gang rape. I don't mind the hentai scenes, though it would be more meaningful for it to be showed later or the end as a reward much more than force feeding it from start to finish and beyond the grave. Any opinions would be most helpful, thank you~ |

You've never heard of phantom of inferno and ever17 translated by hirameki? You've been missing out! :D |
I heard of Ever17 with mixed feedback, though there was no hentai scenes in it. I planned on getting it, but still deciding :p Phantom of Inferno, however.. no.. can't say I have~

Get Ever17. NAO.
Also recommend: Crescendo (too bad it doesn't have the bonus content that the re-release version had). Hourglass of Summer Tsukihime You can buy Ever17, Crescendo and Hourglass of Summer in English. |
Thanks, i'll get the ones you guys recommended (Minus Phantom Of Inferno for now) just to sedate my boredom for a while longer~ Hopefully the majority of the populace can't be bad :p

Narcissu Side 2nd - http://narcissu.insani.org/ - http://stage-nana.sakura.ne.jp/
*odd that no one has recommended this yet...* |
Hm.. thats a demo english version, correct?
|
Tsukihime has a english patch, thats a good thing. Although its damn hard to get the game ...the story and endings is definately something else though.
|
Tsukihime? if ur talking about finding a downloadable version, its not hard to find at all if u look around on the internet.
I can't tell u in this post tho. i don't know if saying stuff like that is legal on this forum or not. |
My friend lent me the game, hes fluent in Japanese but he HATED reading that much text. I finished it a while ago and I did enjoy how the story and how well it was translated. Anyways, keep the recommendations coming, I need to fill my time so I won't get back into Vanguard and continue the loop of MMO death. Thanks much~
