Well... The plot for the first two volumes can be neatly settled into one line:

And so, we have finished volume two. I guess no one likes this volume enough for the writers to spend more than three episodes on it, huh... In the end, they really lacked some explanations...


Anyways, the worse volumes are out of the way now...

This ep was really really good. A clear 8.5 for me, barely short of excellent, so what to do? I'll go with 8 for now, but it was about the best 8 you'll get.

As a reminder, on subboards you don't need spoiler tags for episode threads. Whoever goes there goes with the intention to spoil himself, and in his own risk. If yu don't wanna be spoiled, stay out.

Why do I like this ep so much? Two main reasons:

1) The final showdown was managed very well. Good music, excellent voice acting, excellent animation. J.C.Staff DOES know how to create tension when they feel like it.

2) They managed to come up with a decently logial resolution. Both for Aureolus' motivation WHY he did what he did, and how he tried to achieve his goal. In a way, he's like "Touma bad end", as our TL put it. If Touma had failed to save Index, this might have become of him too. A wackjob, who tries wack ways to achieve his goal.

And well, we're about to hit paydirt anyway. Bring on 10!

In the days after episode 8, an alchemist filled with pedophilia fell from the Association to a life in exile as the Pedo King Lizardo. Filled with spite and hatred, Angra spearheaded an army of cram students and balls of light to overthrow the world of mortal men. His plan was foiled, a man appeared with the power of God sealed in his arm, and used this power to once again send Lizardo into exile.


Contradictions in the arc be damned, this was a badass episode. :D
