Basic premise is it follows the adventures of a Japanese battleship cruiser called the "Unebi" which consists of pretty much all girls. This series is chock full of yuri-related comedy and navel WWII references for fans to indulge on. And not to mention the commander of the ship Kuki gains herself an all-girl harem which consists of her XO, the German U-boat commander, and a freakin' British captain! The most recent chapter that's released is chapter 8 which is unfortunately more straight. :(

From what I found out, the manga is serialized in the bishoujo moe magazine MC☆Axis. It's a quarterly magazine >_> anyway, I'll be checking this out soon.

well I would say Nina was closer looking to Tsukiumi but after you've mentioned it I kinda see Sekirei in this.
For instance Mamiya looks like Miya and has even has a demon too:heh: but she has the little shy side of well a shy person(but then after her litte daydream with the battleship destroying one can't deny its her:heh:)
Chiga fits with Matsu as our megane-chan but without the perverted side
Cookie I guess is like Musubi
Obama is more like kinda Kazehana/Matsu

there all kinda a mish mash of each other I guess but then that could be said for any series:p

but since you pointed out Sekirei I can't help but make that connection

I have no idea when the next volume will be released, but since it's serialized in a quarterly magazine it'll be quite a long time. :upset:

The art of this manga is so clean, so well drawn... i love it... the mangaka sure is talented. It's sad how much time takes its serialization though.

AFAIK, the Regia Marina Italiana (Royal Italian Navy) operated until 1941 from Eritrea, that year British and Indian forces captured the last base and the italian naval operations ceased.

The US operated until the zone of Sumatra.

So only two of Axis powers were involve in Naval combat? Chibi Italia is crying right now.

Okay then what about the Soviet's? Unless there too busy getting themselves killed by the Germans or their Commissar's to get into the naval battle.

Anyway Still hoping for an all America female Navy crew (hopefully with 1940's hair style).

I just love this series in that it actually keeps a fine balance with the comedy and whatever else is thrown in. I mean any series that can get a bonzai in a damage report and have it not out of place is made of win:p
