Plot: In a small Shinto harvest shrine dating back to the Edo period, Makoto Saeki lives with her father (the head priest of the shrine) and Gintaro, a kitsune (fox spirit) and messenger for the gods. However, Makoto is the only one who can see the shrine's kitsune. The story follows the everyday life of Makoto and Gintaro as they act as the go-between for the gods and humans.

Gingistune sounded like a modern pop singer inspired by Gengis-Khan or sth. :p

Toshihiko Seki voiced him in the drama CD so I think male is a good guess. :)

Anyways I like the sound of this story so I will check it out (but it does make me wish for more Natsume Yuujinchou).

Haven't watched Natsume, but perhaps you'll wish for it more between this and Inari Konkon! They seem similar enough in theme.

There are a lot of new anime with unfamiliar material whose premises have turned me off instantly, but this one happened to do the opposite for me. Having enjoyed Kamichu, Hotarubi no Mori e, and Natsume Yuujinchou, I have fairly high expectations for this.

I see that the thread’s title isn’t fixed yet. Try asking the mods by “reporting” your own OP so that the title can be fixed ASAP. That method works for me (speaking of personal experience here :p).
