so what exactly are the quincies stealing, just the shinigami bankai or the power of their zanpakutou?

even kyoukaru is having a hard time? how strong are these stern ritters?

and so soul society calls for the aid of their shinigami representative, kurosaki ichigo, to save them again. hmmm... why not ask for some back up from squad zero? if all of gotei 13 is destroyed they would be the last defense anyway. the soul king will be placed in serious danger.

Lol, this chapter was just comedy gold...

I'm not suprised by Kyorakou having troubles, that they are strong was clear at the latest the moment Byakuya said he'd need bankai ... I was kinda lmao on Kurtsuchi and Hirako being ticked of by their stupidity but then again it makes me a bit dissapointed - so convenient after last chapter not much suprise there and then of course Kyorakou had to add "oh well it had to be done, noble sacrifice, BLAH" - so now finally the great mastermind has enough data for his analysis of their abilities - but it gets stretched out to next chapter again, meh...

wonder what old man is about to do as it would appear facing their leader under the current conditions might be suicidal even for him 0.o

First Starrk and now this old guy? Why does Shunsui always get stuck with gun toting enemies?

From the looks of it, stealing their bankai has an effect on the whole of their zanpakutou.

I would imagine this is how the Zero Squad will finally appear: Because Ichigo is already busy in HM and can't actually help them right now. Either by the time he gets there, they will have already lost and so the fight will move into the Soul Kings domain. Alternatively, because Ichigo can't join up with them, they will make a last ditch effort (the old man probably would have to give the order to do so) to inform the Zero Squad of what is happening and request help.

Also, gotta love the fact that Hirako and Kurotsuchi were calling them idiots for releasing their bankais........ then Kyoraku had to ruin the moment. :mad:

the chapter itself is irrelevant. what is relevant is the colour page with grimmjow, ishida and ichigo
so what? grimmjow is gunna be main character status now?

What i feel stands out is that the chapter basically confirms that these four captains are idiots because only ONE person needed to make a sacrifice and that one person could have been a VC instead of one of the captains... Its even worse now that byakuya is telling renji not to use his bankai, since that just confirms the other flaw in their great plan; the fact that just because they see it happen, doesn't mean they'll figure out how to stop it... granted the next move seems pretty obvious which would be to steal/destroy the little thing-a-ma-bob that they used to steal their bankai... which will probably be easier said than done.

Imagine the quincy who stole Koma's bankai "dafuq I always get the shit ones!"

Still, I liked the Hitsugaya scene and the Mayuri one. Really liked the mustache quincy, hope he's not fodder. Actually I hope that some of these villains get some development and aren't all killed off like trash in the end.

Yep, I agree with Hirako and Mayuri. These guys are idiots. Have they never heard of coordination? They only needed to sacrifice one bankai, not four.

In my honest opinion, the loss of Komamura's bankai is inconsequential.

Mayuri and Hirako should shout on them some more.

Renji you are a genius. Bankai got stolen right in front of him and what does he do? BANKAI!

Looks like Ichigo is a medicine from every ace. What do they want him to do with no bankai?

And does Kubo even remember zero squad?

Kenpachi himself has been notably absent without good reason...

^if zero squad comes it will not be hinted at beforehand but once the situation is totally screwed simply appear outa nowhere with a grand shanbang - prly at that point suprisingly it gets revealed the quincy CAN use the bankais after all (which of course they were only ever ripping of the captains to be able to face zero squad trolololol :p)- which they then move on to indeed do and pwn zero squad outright so that Ichigo has a reason to come help in the first place :heh:

(well, I hope it will turn out to be slightly more complex - if there IS something i still have some hope left for it is zero squad, especially if the whole ichigo parents backstory ties in there...)

He got a panel in this chapter. I guess that means Kubo added him so that you can think he'll do something but he either won't, or get fatal wounds and die while having too much "fun"...or something. Kubo logic.

Now, in this chapter, the author reintroduced the awesome hax telecom kido that puts the gotei13 above any kind of army; simultaneous transmission to everyone regardless of distance. With this level of organization, they could totally bring out all sorts of kido specialists, mutant experiments and all the 13 divisions in the fight, but conveniently enough, half of them are just too busy drinking tea.
