Isn't obvious what he's talking about? Question is what happened to Froleytia in the end. Did she became general/ dead/married/retired/kidnapped by aliens?

It wasn't obvious to me, but the answer to that question was. It's Kamachi so the answer is nothing. Kamachi doesn't advance romance.

Zashiki Warashi and Waltraute?

In Zashiki, the two were already in love. It honestly felt a little sudden and shoehorned. Waltraute had the main couple as the premise, but then never revisited their romance again. In both cases, there's very little sense of progress as you'd see in a typical romcom. There's just a beginning - whoosh! - end.

Ok about Waultrate, but there was nothing sudden about ZW. It took literaly 10 volumes to get there and at least half of them were major mile stones of sort (don't ask me which as I would probably mix several together trying remember)

Just so we're clear sex addled hijinks is not progress. That said whatever milestones you're referring to was them realizing they were in love with each other. This is decidedly different than falling in love or even admitting it which is what other romcoms focus on. When they did realize it, bam! They were a couple and then a married one.

If the general romcom is a race from start to finish, the Zashiki Warashi is two people realizing they're already at the finish line.

That's perfectly valid approach in romcoms though and far from uncommon.

Romcoms do more than that and when you strip Zashiki Warashi of the meaningless sex hijinks it doesn't even qualify.

So how did the war end?

Everyone loses, so nobody loses. But the world order is going to need some rearranging.

Well yes, if you remove "com" from "romcom" it indeed will not be romcom anymore. If you remove hijings all that will be left is romance, duh (and also mystery/action and little of thriller ). But that goes for every romcom.

Anyway I will stop here, though it would be interesting to continue at it in ZW thread.

You would think the Legitimacy Kingdom would have the best say considering how many Objects the main cast has taken down.

The final battle was won by an alliance of deserters from all world powers. And the Legitimacy Kingdom suffered a big loss off-screen when the main cast was busy elsewhere.
