Around 9:32, it's Ink-chan of Moetan, right? :heh:

herbert 2007-10-28 23:04

Yes, there are Ink-chanS. One in magical Engrish teacher mode and another in elementary-schooler-like highschooler mode.

WOW, an episode for big sister Sakuya. A straight 10 from me.

Sakuya is my favorite character, really. Comedienne, carekeeper, and wields a fan like nobody's business. This was a great episode, but the real highlight was the beginning. The fourth wall was *this* close to breaking completely, as if Nagi accusing the narrator hadn't done that already. Nishizawa's cameo was excellent as well, being asked if she was the mother of the two kids. Hilarious.

8/10

S_K 2007-10-30 20:50

Sakuya isnt that bad, her fan is her best trait
the ending with the kids becoming comedians was hilarious
OMG its Nabeshin from Excel Saga

Hayamaneko 2007-10-30 21:15

Did anyone else think that the two kids were going to be involved in some kind of Saint Sieya Parody? I mean they resemble Shun and Ikki and were brothers...

So much smacking in this episode.

Character development for Sakuya = Perfect 10 from me.

This episode had a bit slower pace as far as comedy, but I think it worked well with the character development it had. We really saw a lot about Nagi and Sakuya, as far as their maturity levels and other traits. Overall, a very good episode.

I especially liked how we had serious Sakuya pretty much the entire episode, then a classic Saku moment at the very end.

Looks like a lot of Saku and Isumi in the next episode, count me as excited for it.

anselfir 2007-10-30 23:57

sakuya is pretty good

frustra 2007-10-31 00:16

HnG needs more episodes with Sakuya and Isumi on it. In the manga they are just fantastic!

neutralizer 2007-10-31 00:24

That was pretty interesting episode. Sakuya once in a while is hilarious.

I can't believe Nagi tried to make another stew again.

Axilon 2007-10-31 00:35

In the preview at the end... is that the great Afro Master Nabashin returning after his departure in puni puni poemi?

Shadowfox79 2007-10-31 00:56

great episode, I have a better view of Sakuya now after this episode as it goes to show that shes more than a comedic characters, shes actually quite a caring character. I actually kinda got the wrong impression of her when I saw the flashback of when nagi was a kid, and Sakuya and a bunch of kids read Nagi's first few "manga" and said that sucked, until Isumi came in to say she liked it. Back then, I was like, damn Sakuya, you were cold, but now it shows that Sakuya tried to get Nagi to open up. She's now #3 top favorite female character, with Hina at #1 and Maria at #2 (Nagi used to be at #3 for me but now is at #4, still like her though)

Just finish watching the subs. lol again they use many more parodies this time: Nagi' Shin-chan like face expression, Ginta+Doros (MAR), Ink-chan (Moetan) sculpture at Nagi' doujin room entrance, not to mention the 2 siblings resemble Saint Seiya.

Ayumu' character CD is about to be released =) I'll patiently waiting for that.
Episode 32 is another anime original plot? Good to see that now Sakuya and Isumi got more screen time.

first Yugi, then B-Daman, this episode is Dash Yonkuro, what will we see next

the kids WERE the saint seiya parody. the moment u hear their names, it pretty much confrims it. itsuki is a play on ikki, and shunji is a play on shun. come on, they look SO like them. and look at previous eps, theres plenty of saint seiya references all over the place...
>hayate fighting katsura-sensei at the school gate.
>nagi imagining herself as saori/athena and hayate in the scorpio cloth.
and thats just off the top of my head, im sure there were more. hell, take a look at the very beginning of the new opening, hayate with the stars in the background is SO saint seiya.

btw, were they refering to patlabor when they were talking about the ingrams?

grey_moon 2007-10-31 03:49

It was so funny how Maria got Nagi to taste her own stew first. I mean doesn't anyone ever try their own cooking before killing off the people they want to impress?

After repeated Hayate dressed as a girl scenes I am starting to wonder about Maria's sexual preference :p

bloodyknight 2007-10-31 04:40

You know... I truly hope she can't be... You know... You do know what I mean, do you?!!?

grey_moon 2007-10-31 05:11

I'll love Maria no matter what she is :p

deathreape98 2007-10-31 06:01

10/10

was funny in some parts, and we learned more about nagi and sakuya....and confirmed the fact maria thinks hayate is cute when dressed upas a girl :P
