Rinkya / Yahoo Japan Auctions - anyone use these to buy from Japan?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone here ever used Rinkya, or Yahoo Japan auctions (or a similar site) to successfully buy things from Japan?

Basically AFAIK these are an intermediary to help foreigners buy things from Japanese websites or Japanese ebay-style auctions, that wouldn't ship overseas otherwise.

I am interested in buying a camera from japan (a japan-only model). I am wondering if anyone has any experiences or advice?

thanks

I've used Japan Auction Agency 3 times in the past without any problem. One of those times was to buy off something from Yahoo Auctions

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll have a look.

Do you mind if I ask, what was the costs involved with your purchases? (were you buying items worth 10,000 yen or 100,000 yen? etc) FWIW I'm looking at a camera around 40,000 yen.

Most of my loli friends over at the egl community use shopping services like these to order stuff from Japan and China, no problems, just the usual expense of having shit imported.
