Well, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Ranma 1/2 and Kasimasi Girl Meets Girl might be what you're looking for based on the Kampfer avvy. Hopefully, the gender bender thing to the extreme is what you mean by body swapping. A boy finds themselves as a girl sort of swapping.

Hmm, that seems more like age-swapping than body-swapping.

Can't think of an entire anime based on that premise. Though there are individual

How's about both seasons of Kampfer? That was the first series that came to mind personally :)

None of you are talking about actual body swapping. What he is referring to is something like Freaky Friday. Whereby one person finds themselves in the body of another person.

I don't think I know of any Anime based on that premise (though I think there may be individual episodes as AnimeFan188 says)

You might have better luck with Manga.

That's exactly the premise of Asatte no Houkou, which the OP rejected for reasons only he knows. He seems to think it's a show where the characters become older versions of themselves (he cites Big for comparison), but it really is a show where the two female characters, one aged ten and one in her twenties, swap bodies.

There is some body swapping in kaiba i think.

Not exactly body swapping the way you want but still. The main hero (guy) occasionally transforms into his sister, she posseses his body.

As I said not eneternely what you want but close.

definitely has lots of body-swapping (or is it body-hopping?). Of all the shows mentioned
so far, it's probably the closest to what the OP was asking for.

Note that Kaiba doesn't follow the usual "2 chars switch bodies, then learn what each
other's life is like, then switch back, having learned a valuable life-lesson" formula.

That's part of what makes it different (that, and the art style).
