This hasn't aired yet, has it? Anyways a few hours till episode 1, I really do hope it stays true to it's nature and doesn't stray from the previous seasons.

relentlessflame 2012-01-06 17:31

It will air in just under an hour now. The weekly threads will hopefully be created sometime 6-12 hours before the episode each week just so that they're not forgotten. In the time before the episode airs, people can use the thread to speculate (as it says in the opening post).

For some reason I was under the impression this season wasn't going to air until after Shana finishes...

Nah, I think January 2012 was the only announced date, AFAIK. They'll both be airing at the same time this season (and only a few hours apart, in fact).

You may be thinking of the early speculation before the date was officially revealed.

Many of us didn't think they'd air Shana and ZnT simultaneously given the late announcement and the production studio's workload (Kill Me Baby and Milky Holmes 2nd Season had already been announced).

Thanks I kind of thought it was going to air tomorrow, is this getting simulcasted though?

TJR 2012-01-06 19:28

Crunchyroll will stream this, but the exact date hasn't been announced yet.

@topic
First few minutes and they woke up both (Maid and Louise with Saito XD). We saw it on the trailers, so it is possible to write it by myself.

Hopefully they'll "SIMULCAST", I remember Mashiro Iro Symphony that was delayed 2 days after each episode airs.

serenade_beta 2012-01-06 23:24

The director is the same as the first season!
The OP is pretty good! From the show of characters, it looks like they will use 1 opening for the entire season, maybe?
Wow! This season is so gonna follow the novel and gonna be so amazing!

*watches the episode*
*slams head on table*

Err... I thought Colbert was supposed to be this amazing mage... And he couldn't hear someone screaming right above him?! *head explodes*
Now, I don't mind the anime not following the novel. But not when it ends in bad results, and 90% of the time, JC's changes are never good changes Then again, this season's Shana is boring and it seems to be following the novel, so following the novel isn't always a good thing either though....
I was actually fine with this episode and this fight against these bandits until Colbert and Tiffania turned out to be right below them.

Me #2: But you don't really remember the novel enough to clearly say what was in it and what is original right?
Me: (;∀`)
Me: |゚; )====3
Me #2: Ah...

Voices of the new characters were fine though. Stupid Pope gets his fitting disgustingly kind voice.
It's been so long, I forgot... what's his name, Julio's voice was Makoto's.

The schedule now has it Sundays at noon, so about a day late.

Looks like another possible anime original ending, but at least it has the author's blessing right?

Westlo 2012-01-07 00:53

Isn't it better if the author does another take on an ending for this series instead of trying to cram 10-15 light novels of his into 12 episodes?

crystalalien87 2012-01-07 01:00

since nothing is perfect it had to get a 9. but i really enjoyed it. has a different feel to it. now i gotta wait for the subs

Unknown Soldier 2012-01-07 02:59

I watched a pretty crappy raw. It was still everything I could have wished for. I just hope the rest of the final season maintains a high level of quality, unlike the first 3 seasons (especially the third!).

Nochgo 2012-01-07 03:31

To be honest, I barely remember what happened during the first 3 seasons :heh:. But that didn't stop me from enjoying the episode. Louise was more cute in this episode than I remembered, taking the initiative and going dere when found out. The episode also felt very fast paced, though I didn't have too much trouble keeping up. And yea, not noticing a battle just over head is kinda stretching it. Made me go  and :eyebrow:. Wonder who Tiffa's familiar will be.

I haven't watched this episode yet, but can I take an uneducated guess anyway...? :) Saito. :heh:

Atrum023 2012-01-07 04:39

Haven't watched it either. I can't even remember where this season would start since I can barely remember the events of third season. I don't know why...

Still eagerly waiting for the episode. I know its out in raw, but I'd rather wait for it to get subbed.

virox 2012-01-07 06:05

There are two characters at the end of the Opening which I have never heard of before, are these from the novel or are they original characters? I just hope they are from the novels...

Oh, and they were also in the episode
