Suggestion for tracker criteria

Right now trackers for anime series have 'genre' tags. You can click them and it brings up a list of all our trackers that share that theme.

For example http://animesuki.com/series.php/1715.html Agriculture Girls has "Action", "Comedy" and "Mecha"

I would like to propose, if it is not too complex, the incorporation of chronology tags.

Basically like how next to Vintage it says "October 2010". The years could be made links and we can click them to see all the trackers for anime that began in that year.

That way we could have a master list of years to find anime produced around the same time.

I think this would come in handy for people who wanted to watch old anime, for example.

I realize this would take a lot of work, but I think it could gradually be done over time and stuff.

Also for years when a lot of stuff gets made or fansubbed (like more recent ones) it might be more specifically broken up like by season or month? But that's a concern for later.

I dunno about month, but vintage is already broken down by season: http://beta.animesuki.com/series?q=&...&optional=none (right side menu)

Oh cool, wasn't aware of this format. Using http://beta.animesuki.com/series?sort=vintage&order=asc arranges it starting with oldest. There seem to be a lot of ? though, would like to help find those I guess.

This beta appearance is really cool...

Do you know how it gets organized when stuff comes out in the same year? Like the earliest I can find is in 1965 "Yuusei Shounen Papii" and "Wonder 3". I'm not sure why it's listed in that order. They both came out in the same month (June) but W should precede Y in the alphabet...

All I can figure is that Prince Planet (Yuusei) came out June 3rd whereas Wonder 3 came out June 6th. But that's strange because the actual date isn't listed on the tracker, just the months.

Is that it or could it be something else like alphabetical or the series number they have on their tracker?

Edit: also noticed a mistake while browsing. http://beta.animesuki.com/series/Arm..._-_Alone_Again lists "20111" instead of 2011. Couldn't figure out how to correct it and not sure where to report it cept here.

I don't. pm GHDpro; assuming he doesn't notice this thread. Listing correction can probably be handled by members of the group "Staff Team".

The actual date is listed in the tracker database, though.

Thank you for that (it's been fixed). Like Felix said, the Torrent Listing Corrections thread is where you post any mistakes you find so that we can fix them. :D

As CrowKenobi mentioned vintage day is in the database, however it is not listed normally. You can still see it if you hover your mouse over the vintage year in the series list (not on a individual series page).

Sort order is Year > Month > Day > Title
