Those Other Japanese Collections

Well, we have anime, manga and other related merchandise on our shelves, that's a given. But is there anything else you like collecting from the land of the rising sun?

Here's my other vice, so to speak: the ever pretty scale model trains!

I keep a lot of my collection photos on this page (the top half being all the Japanese stock I have): I Like Trains

So, over to you, dear reader. Show us your big Japanese collection of things!

As one modeller to another, I have a very large collection of models kits (it used to be larger) and the vast majority of these are from Japanese companies (Tamiya, Hasegawa, Fujimi, etc).

There's a rather substantial kokeshi doll collection in my house that my wife has collected over the years, some of which was her grandmother's. There is also some japanese art (sculptures, fabrics, etc) including some paintings her grandmother painted. Much of the house has an asian theme. We have a couple of large scale tansu in the kitchen.

That name sums it up best. :p That's an amazing stash.

I'm adding an Arii Hayabusa EF66 to my collection very shortly, something that will be very unique to my geographical region, that's for sure.

I wonder if anyone has the older Tamiya slot cars, out of interest? Those can be worth very serious money in even reasonable condition.

A few ancient swords, starting with kimonos and lacquerwork as well.
