Takeru or Ryou? Hikari or Akari?
 

Which are your favorite two characters out of the four? This is not which pair would you like best.

Akari and Ryou just have more to them, the other two are blah.

I like all of them, really.

If there was an option with Hikaru and Akari, I would be the happiest man on Earth right now. But never mind then, my choice is Takeru and Akari...

tough choice, I guess Hikari and Ryou.

Hikari just because she's kinda complex... We know she had a darkside (destroying monster in ep 1, and destroying the school in ep 5) but on the other hand, she can't remember them. So who's is her inner self? I like thinking about characters, why do they do the things they do :)

Ryou, because he's kinda like me, and evenmore, he is also a little hard to understand... Come on, almost every girl wants him, but he just doesn't know it... OMFG, come on... :P


Akari just lost from Ryou, while Take... who?, well, he just plainly sucks... Only thing cool 'bout him, was when he changed form in ep 1...

Takeru and Hikari

Hikari cause of the duel nature, has me interested. Takeru cause of his transformation. Ryou and Akari are ok, nothing against them but they seem to only reflect Takeru and Hikari. I'm also a big devilman fan so of course I'm gonna be interested in Takeru. Personality wise, eh on all of them.

hikari is a bit like me, only major difference is the gender, in that she thinks alot, and she has post-party blues (ep 6) XD

i chose ryou becoz takeru is a wimp. y be shy and everything when hikari is so bold?

I like Akari way better then Hikari, she's more honest in my opinion.

No, busty girl IS good! :D I like Ryou and Akari the best because they get along so well and there are no doubts in their hearts. Still, Hikari has nice boobs....ohh its such a tough decision! (20 minutes of self-debate later: Ryou and Akari :D )

I've always liked Akari more because she doesn't seem as clingy as Hikari (well, that and Ryou is considerate, straightforward with his feelings, and doesn't neglect her)...and I like Akari "peculiar" ways (fishing, licking, etc).

I prefer Ryou and Akari over Takeru and Hikari, for various reasons:
1. They don't have this "protect"-message, that annoys me to no end after seeing it in hundred of anime.
2. They are constructive and positive, whereas Hikari and Takeru are destructive and negative. In general, I prefer negative over positve, but Takeru is violent as well. It may sound strange, but while I like hatred in characters, I don't like rage and violence.
3. Akari is not as clinging as Hikari. (already stated by sarcastic) I don't like this type of girls, who for some strange reason, immediatley fall in love with the protagonist and cling to him. In contrast, the relationship between Ryou and Akari actually developed, kind of.
4. Hikari and Takeru feel more cliche to me. I probably didn't watch/read enough shoujos, but a harmonius relationship, without the standard problems, is actually more interesting than the usual "I love her, but I am too shy to admit it.".

After watching episode 3 (which is my favorite one, by the way) I hoped Ryou and Akari would play a more important role, I guess I would have liked the anime a lot more then.

(Considering this poll's result ... I think Gainax choose the wrong couple to be the major one,)

Akari is 12 year old rite??? So for her age...is quite acceptable for possessing such boobs...i mean is normal rite?? But how old is Hikari?? Actually i don't really hate Hikari though...but other than her outside looks....i can't figure out anything good from her...while Akari is different...she is quite in a way ^_^ and i just can't help falling in love with her....who would not??

Ryou disappointed me a bit in the end. He influences the situation by not acting rather than acting, which is interesting. I have a suspicion that he is a Buddhist. Him and Akari being family is a nice touch, but... . I have to go with Takeru and Hikari in the end.
Its funny how many would-be Ryous we have here, even to the point of imagining he has a similar voice in one case if I recall. You know, his seiyu is female... Paiser, you understand Japanese, you could have a look at the official site and tell us what the seiyus talk about in the videos in the "characters" section. Especially Jennifer sounds amazing.
