Episode 1
 

Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread) Animation quality got a nice upgrade. Enjoyed the first episode, but more importantly nice to have these lovely characters back :p

This was a pretty ideal first episode back. The characters were great, the visuals were excellent, and it was just a lot of fun. From cool moments like Pecorine staring at the castle to absolutely ridiculous ones like the main characters almost dying from monster meat. It was just a win overall.

Plus I liked the little details like that rainbow thread being visible on Karyl's stuffed animal. Just a nice little touch.

We'll see where this season goes and how they tackle the mystery of that world. But at the very least this was just a purely fun return to the show.

Well its good that those stupid looking wolfs are doing ok and still like the munching on Yuuki

I'm pretty the strategy against the dragon in episode 2 of the previous season was his idea as well. Seems like his go-to strategy.

I didn't expect Little Lyrical to appear that soon. They pretty much know what to expect from Pecorine now.

I really wish the characters that didn't appear in the previous season will appear this time.

episode 1:

amazing first episode. Kyaru, Pecorine, and Kokkoro are back! :D

catgirl who does not like to eat fish. Kyaru is a spoiled cat. lol

well, she did manage to eat some meat.. but a weird meat again. The laughs just keep coming!

feel a bit sad for the old man. And for a short moment, I thought the old man might be evil, since he completely stopped moving when Yuki and the girls were being attacked by those ghosts.

I was so entertained when they were riding their flying machine, with the old opening theme in the background.

the ghosts got a closure, and the heroes back home safely. Even leftover food tasted great!

I thought Pecorine usually explains what kind of food they are eating while they are eating. Instead, just responded with her happy face while munching towards Karyl with silence makes me think Pecorine did not even care anymore at the time since she was too hungry at the time.

Even though they were prepared to fight, Karyl just asked Pecorine a serious question. It was so unlike Pecorine to not to answer her question.

Opening is full of sakuga.

And here I though it would be impossible to shove every character in the series in a single opening.....am glad to be proven wrong

They went for it with that OP :D. Definitely a good call to keep the song the same and just change up the visuals. Definitely fun to stop and catch all the various characters they managed to cram in there.

A strong episode that came along with it. Right back into the serious stuff and picking up on the threads left from season 1. For the time being Pecorine isn't comfortable telling everyone about her situation. Although really the only person that doesn't know is Yuuki. Which is fine since that might be a bit over his head anyways.

Karyl's situation remains very shaky. And it was good to show the strain of living this double life. She can't be honest with her friends, she's terrified of being honest with 'her majesty' and really the only person that's somewhere in the middle is that battle maniac Christina. Karyl is going to break down at this rate and it could be messy when that happens. Not that the Gourmet Guild will blow up on her. There will of course be shock to have Karyl aligned with the person that basically ruined Pecorine's life. But Yuuki is as chill as they come and Kokkoro is pretty darn sweet as well. Though the person that would be hardest on Karyl if they found out would be Karyl herself. That 'last boss' she's working for...I'm worried what'll happen. And honestly Karyl's seems as terrified.

Nice to see the idol guild enter the picture. A nice bunch for sure :). Can see why they didn't bring them into season 1 though. Might not have been ready to give them the necessary budget there :D.

Thank goodness Yuuki is actually more welcomed by Tsumugi in this version. Nozomi seemed more goofy here. And Chika, who knows?

The sad thing is, Carmina already sang their Christmas song with only three of them as the guild members. No Carmina Christmas special event on the anime then.

Well that is some store greeting one someone comes in being put into a idol costume and Yuuki didnt look have bad in one

episode 2:

really enjoyed watching Carmina guild performance. Their songs brightened up my afternoon.

Kyaru has found good friends. They won't eat dinner if she's not around.

It is good that she's got friends like that. Even though obviously there will be shock whenever they find out about the spy thing. She'd probably still be collapsed in the street if they didn't head out looking for her. The whole situation is stressful for sure. But at least she's got them.
