Osama gets approval for use of Nuclear Weapons

Osama gets Islamic approval to nuke U.S.

New York, NY, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- A Saudi sheik has given Osama bin Laden religious approval to use a nuclear device against U.S. civilians, CBS News reported Saturday.

In response to a question from the al-Qaida leader about using massively destructive weapons, the unidentified sheik wrote a treatise concluding bin Laden would be "perfectly within his rights to use them," said Michael Scheuer, a CIA official who had been in charge of tracking down bin Laden.

CBS will air Scheuer's interview Sunday during "60 Minutes." He is the author of several books, the latest of which is entitled "Imperial Hubris: Why the West is Losing the War on Terror."

"Muslims argue that the United States is responsible for millions of dead Muslims around the world, so reciprocity would mean you could kill millions of Americans."

Scheuer said bin Laden was criticized by some Muslims for the Sept. 11 attack because he killed so many people without enough warning and before offering to help convert them to Islam. But now, bin Laden has addressed the American people and given what he regards as fair warning.

"Their intention is to end the war as soon as they can, and to ratchet up the pain for the Americans until we get out of their region," says Scheuer. "If they acquire the weapon, they will use it, whether it's chemical, biological or some sort of nuclear weapon."

Good for Him....

And you dont need approval to use nukes, you just use em when you feel like.

Good to know when I start nuking People and things I dont like, I can just blame Bin Laden..:D

??? 2004-11-14 22:15

What can i say ? He's Bin Laden mister recycle bin.

Well he was an american agent to fight the russians

America gave him tools and financial motivation to fight USSR

he gave his army religious motivations to fight with him

but what motivations made him turn to america and the west ??

If he is the islam sword , would in it be more at the point that he fights israel or continue fighting russia , as in muslims eyes they occupy thier lands and kill their children in palestine and cheshnia ,

conclusion he is not fighting to protect the muslims , does he just want to kill people so he goes to heaven ???

Or is the terrorists network large enough now that they want to kill every other religion on the planet ??

NAAAA he's just playing around :)

sarcasteak 2004-11-14 22:37

Praise be Allah, what took that Shiek so long to pass down the approval!

What's next? If Americans gets blamed for the indirect deaths of Muslims, then Israeli rabbis should authorize the gasing of Germans since they caused so many Jewish deaths? Chinese authorities order the Red Army to massacre Japanese since they caused so many Chinese deaths AND still denied any guilt! Yay!!!

If you took that seriously, please end yourself.

Actually, I remember hearing something to that effect. Something about Bin laden calling on americans to convert to islam and create an islamic republic, but I forget where I heard it, so it may have been the rantings of some right wing radio talk show host trying to up-play the threat, not that it needs to be up-played... :hmm:
Anyway, if Bin laden did use a nuclear weapon against the US, most Islamic cities would soon follow, as most americans would then come to the conclusion that the only way to destroy terrorism is to annihilate the populations that it draws support from. Bin laden has to realize that, so it's probably an idle threat for PR reasons, unless he plans on making the US act like the great satan he claims it to be, and let history judge him. Of course no matter who history sides with, he'd still be remembered as that dumbass who poked the lion one time to many.

Oh but that was justified for the Rape of Nanking. Hail Mao!

the idea of declaring a war against terrorism itself is quite stupid, if you think about it, it does nothing other than actually justify the terrorists' killing civilians :uhoh:

hobobaggins 2004-11-15 00:12

or, if history remembers 9-11 as bush attacking us for votes, in public schools across the nation 200 years from now...

the "boston tea party" and the "9-11 party" will be remembered as the time when americans borded a vehicle, and did stupid stuff... ...

except that on the 9-11 party, they dressed up as muslims.

scary isnt it.

I agree, the only way to eliminate terrorism, without caving in to their demands or committing genocide, is with good, old fashion investigative work, though afganistan was an exception, as there was a terrorist run puppet government there. It might take 20 or 30 years to track down the terrorists, and would require a multi-national effort, but it can be done. The way Bush is doing things is only creating more terrorism, as you said. However, when anyone points it out, the Bush administration accuses them of having a "dangerous, pre-9/11" view on terrorism...

Bun-kun 2004-11-15 01:03

The war on Terrorism is like a war on jealousy it can never be won, without knowing exactly what they want. Bin Laden said it himself that the reason why he attacked on 9-11 was because we have millitary installation in their holy land, Saudi Arabia. Bin Laden hates the Royal Family for letting the US millitary in his country. So he states clearly that if we withdraw our troop from Mecca, end ties with the Saudi Royal Family, and stop our support for Israel then he would stop his attack. I don't know if he will or not, but his request seems to be reasonable. It doesn't make the world safer when you attack an Arab Country preemptively, and declaring you're spreading freedom, when it's clearly a ploi for more oil. In order to stop terrorism, imo you have to look at the roots of the problem. But I have to say that Osama methods of getting his point across is rather disgusting just like the U.S invasion of Iraq. Again heres where religion is the main problem, wonder what the world would be like if there was no religion, would you trust humans to love each other without the threat of goin to hell? But even with that threat of eternal flames, humans still harm each other. When? When will we learn to live in peace with each other, celebrate the differences and uniquenesses of each culture, and create a world that our children can play in peace, without the threat of a bomb droping on your house, or a plane running into a building. I really like 7thMethuselah sayin, it's not who started it, its who will stop it that matters most.

I find it quite offensive that you would call the bosten tea party stupid. The Boston tea party was one of the key events that led to the American Revolutionary war against Britain and gave Americans freedom from a oppressive government.

To spite it is a slap in the face to ANY country that had to fight for freedom from a oppressive government. :(

The whole 9/11 event practically killed Bush's chances of winning the election. There was the issue of security, did he know, the 9/11 commission, terror levels, etc... This lasted at least a good 4 months and was horrible publicity for Bush....So to say it made him get votes just for that makes no sense. What he did get votes for was his effort on terrorism...whether you agree with it or not, the majority of Americans felt more confident in his plans than Kerry's...end of story.

We have no other choice itís either attack or be attacked. The terrorist were already killing innocent civilianís way before we invaded Afghanistan and Iraq so declaring war on terrorism wouldn't make a difference either way. The problem itself is religion in general. Without religion most of the past wars wouldn't have happened. So maybe we wouldn't be having this problem right now. That's something to really think about.

I like the idea of a one world government. I think it'll be good thing. The day our world fully matures is the day E.T will contact us formally. :)

well..

I hereby give official permission for Tzurial to use massively descriptive waffles.

Those conditions aren't possible and bin laden knows it. He's just saying that to try to convince people who aren't islamic extremest to support him, by portraying himself as a man who is fighting justly for the islamic people.
The US has no troops in mecca, so we can't withdraw them. Our current war in Iraq has also resulted in most US troops that were in saudi arabia to be redeployed. Despite our current tensions, the US alliance with saudi arabia is one of our oldest, and cutting ties would harm both countries. The US has been critcizing Israel of late, but once again, we can't just cut off an ally.

well, most people was, is, and always will be against terrorism anyway, and people were working their hardest to eliminate terrorism before this "war". Declaring some kind of official war doesn't help the situation much except giving Bush some excuse to attack Iraq which actually has nothing to do with terrorism. So regarding terrorism, I'd say ironically this formal declaration of war is actually justifying the terrorist attacks, since now US and terrorists are on an official all out war to fully eliminate each other.

about one world government, well, I like that idea too, however with one condition, that we don't mature into this one world government thing when US is the world's only superpower, and preferably Singapore should be the world's only superpower when we mature into this one world government :p

Lexander 2004-11-15 03:36

Cause you know without this guy's official statement Osama wouldn't know what to do with his nuclear weapon.

haunterex 2004-11-15 04:34

that's strange, i thought religious zealots dont approve science because it goes against the core of their religion: the need to reason, think, and discover rationally for new knowledge.
So if osama uses a nuke, would that be considered heresy?( or would it be different due to islamic religion? christianity, islam, there all sister religions, same BS)

Lexander 2004-11-15 04:45

Didn't you know though ... Saudi sheiks, just like god, can give aproval for it.
