DVD writing errors

When I first recieved this dvd burner I had no problems with it. Now everytime I try to burn something i get a error half way through. I'm using the same DVD's that I used before. I also notice that when I try to copy files to the DVD using Windows XP instead of nero it gives me a error that says it has a problem writing the file. I'll paste Nero's log file to see if anyone can figure out what the problem might be. I couldn't even began to understand that error log.. but i took out my name and serial number out at least.

Windows XP 5.1

Edit: Did some searching of my own. Turns out i'm not the only one with such a problem. http://forums.windrivers.com/showthread.php?t=67267 Found quite a bit of websites like that. So by thinking of a solution you will do something that noone else on any other support board has ever done. In the meantime I'm thinking of getting a different burner.

RaistlinMajere 2006-01-11 17:58

Try:
-Burning slower
-CDBurnerXP
-Removing nVidia IDE drivers (nvatabus.sys is nVidia, NOT Adaptec) -- they're well known to cause problems with burners and they're not necessary. I don't touch them.
-Checking drive cables, replace if old or if it has major creases in it

Candy72 2006-01-11 18:51

-Tried using -CDBurnerXP and it still stops at 48%.
-Tried lower speeds and no luck.
-Don't know how to remove nVidia IDE drivers
-The cables are fine.

RaistlinMajere 2006-01-11 23:05

NV IDE drivers are removed in Add/Remove programs... If I expected any of those to be the problem, it's NVidia, but I don't like to recommend people screw around with drivers before trying things that might not get them to possibly screw up their computer.
