What thread in the general forum was it under? I can't find anything posted about this show using the search button. :(

I think he was referring to M.O.E http://www.pc-moe.com, but I suggest that you post to this thread instead from now on.

The relevant information from that thread is this:

The "praying fighters" (Cosmpolitan Prayers) have been gathered from the world to stop the revival of the demon lord.

However, their ritual at Izumo (it's a place in Japan, pretty famous for it's Shinto shrines) has failed, as a result, everyone other than the girls have vanished from the world...!

Thanks NoSanninWa. :)

I am curious about this show, the animation looked really good, and the plot outlined above is a little vague but could turn out to be interesting.

Kensuke 2004-01-17 06:05

After seeing promo it seems to me that this is mahou shoujo (magical girl) anime packed with fanservice. So I will be following this. :D
There will be only eight 12-minute episodes. If this has a good plot so that those episodes could be watch as an hour and a half movie this could be turn something great, but we will see...

After seeing the blonde in the promo, show seems a bit like G-On Riders.

The first impression I got after watching the trailer is: Isn't this Najica in miko outfit? XD

Well, more panty shots is always welcomed. ;)

Triad's proud to bring you ep1 of this series. We'll be with you all 8 episodes of the way

LiQuid|J 2004-01-18 11:14

Only 8 episodes eh? I might watch the rest of them then, since it's a shortie. The girl with the spear interests me, just cause I'm such a sucker for spears, but I usually get turned off by the fanservice in these shows. It's like they can't have an action show starring females without flashing their panties every 5 seconds. I guess you have to realize what you're expecting with m.o.e. but it just seems like wasted potential lost on bimbism.

It just seems like a bunch of half-baked scenes waiting for the fanservice to come along and remind everyone why they are watching. I doubt I have the patience for even 8 episodes.

It seems at least somewhat derivative of Asagiri no Miko.

Leequid 2004-01-18 13:08

I just watched it, and think it's rather bad! :uhoh:
It's fan-serviced all along (not that i dislike it, but in this case...), the plot seems annoying, what can i say... could it be the worst anime of the season?
In one hand, i didn't really appreciate it, but in the other hand i'll download the second ep, in case it gets better (full of panties shots!! :naughty: ).
Its really sad that the only thing able to save this show is its ecchiness...

davFunereal 2004-01-18 14:02

The continuity of the first episode is very bad; it's hard to follow. It is also poorly shot.

The fan-service is not very strong in the first episode, but it is there every once in a while and very much a part of the series (those Credits..). To critique the fan service: it's about average imagination but the quality is nice.

That said, the animation quality is very good all over. The character designs are up to par but the voices and dialogue don't hold. The special effects are unusually effective--very good special effects. It's why I finished the episode.

Skip it.

Kamui4356 2004-01-18 16:12

After watching ep 1, I can only say this was disappointing. For some reason I was expecting it to be a little better. Ep 2 should be better as it seems that's when an actual plot, or at least something that passes for a plot, will come in.

I have a problem playing this file. I just watched the first seconds (not the whole video) and there are lots of blocks through the screen, specially to the bottom of the window.
I play the file with Media Player Classic 6475 and XviD beta3 + XviD beta3 Decoder Filter. PostProcessing (Deblocking, Deringing) disabled. Anyway, I tried enabling postprocessing but the result is the same.
Is there anyone with the same problem or it's just me???

If you have any doubt, obviously I'm talking about Cosprayers ep 1 from the Triad.

remove all other codecs and install ffdshow alpha. You can dload it here http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/f...3.exe?download

Muir Woods 2004-01-18 17:44

OK. I saw the first episode. And I just have one question: What the hell is going on? I'm so totally lost after the first viewing so I watched it again. Still don't get it. Anyways, this is a MOE production. You know what to expect when you watch an anime from MOE (apparently their forte is ecchi, such as Steel Angel Kurumi, Hanaukyo Maids, and Rizelmine).

GarBhaD 2004-01-18 17:45

I tried ffdshow not long ago and I don't like it: too much options I'll never use and the quality is lower. Moreover, I encode with DivX and Xvid so I need to install those codecs anyway. Why do I have to install another filter to watch videos if already have their own codecs? It doesn't have much sense.
And I never had any problems playing anime. So my question is: what did the Triad do when compressing this file!???

One time I had the problem you mentioned originally with a file. I downloaded codec after codec after codec and nothing fixed it. Then I opened it in Windows Media Player instead of Media Player Classic and I pulled it straight out of Microsoft's automatic codec download. Imagine.

I never touched ffdshow after the installation and it runs everything, like a codec. You lost me on the options complaint.

But try it in WMP, for the codec I mean. Good luck.
