contradictory much?

videodownloader..the popular firefox addon wont let my download videos from youtube or googlevideo anymore.

anyway.. is this happening to anybody else? and if its just me then why is it happening and how can i fix it?

I am assuming you want to remove the Add-on. In Firefox, you should be able to do this by going to Tools > Add ons. Then "Extensions" and select the extension you want to remove and select "uninstall."

I don't think he was asking how to remove it...he was asking how to fix it.

This is my suggestion:
1. Go go http://zamzar.com/
2. Click on the "tools" link at the top
3. drag the "CONVERT IT!" bookmarklet onto your bookmarks toolbar
4. when you're at a Youtube or Google video video, click that bookmarklet and it'll bring you to a page where you can convert the video
5. Select the video type you want to convert it to, put in your email address, and click "convert"

Don't worry about giving them your email address, I've yet to get spam from them or get a virus from any of the downloaded videos.

It blows videodownloader out of the water, IMO.

I wonder which way he wants. At any rate, that's a great website. I am going to give it a try for myself. :)

Was trying to just fix.. I find its pretty much the best vid DLer out there since it sends the .flv to your desktop in 2 clicks without interrupting the stream.. doesnt matter now though, i've found a replacement that works nearly as well.

Yeah, but .flv files are worthless, and that's all videodownloader gives you.
At least zamzar lets you convert the file to whatever you want....and it even lets you output as flv if you really choose.

Though....I just try every way possible to cut down on extensions.
