[Gundam 00] 4th gundam missing?

GN-001 Excia
GN-002 Dynames
GN-003 Kyrios
GN-005 Virtue

GN-004??? Future ally or foe?

I have feeling that its going to be a future ally. Joining them power rangers style >.>; Like the green ranger or white ranger

Sean Connery 2007-10-07 17:45

it's kinda like Seed
GAT-X102
GAT-X103
GAT-X105

wheres the GAT-X104??

LightningZERO 2007-10-07 20:05

Unlike 00, Seed's first 5 Gundam's numbering is kinda random, since we have X207 Blitz and X303 Aegis after X105.

Like Seed, 00 also has side stories. I predict that GN-004 will be the main suit for the main character in one of the side stories.

hipeach 2007-10-07 20:36

maybe the 4th one is that RX-78 with wings of light one at the start?

Kazamachi Shogen 2007-10-07 20:37

Isn't that one Exia?

LightningZERO 2007-10-07 20:40

Nope, probably a prototype for the other Gundams, so that will make it the GN-000

brightman 2007-10-07 20:48

Saji Crossroad (the Japanese student) seems to have no role in the story at the moment... So perhaps he becomes the GN-004 pilot after his girlfriend or sister die or something...

Or maybe one of them becomes the pilot after he dies. Same either way.

Kazamachi Shogen 2007-10-07 20:57

you are right it's not exia, can't help to see the similarity it shares with exia though.

SuperAsuradaGundam 2007-10-07 21:04

would it have to do with the number 4 being bad luck in the far east?

Like someone pointed out earlier in this thread, the suit is extremely similar to the RX-78, down to the head, shoulders, and skirt armor. The only difference is the torso, which seems to be like that of the Exia... So maybe that's why you were confused (plus the fact that the Excia, like most lead Gundams, resembles the RX-78 a bit anyway).

Kazamachi Shogen 2007-10-07 21:16

it's that wierd triangular shape in the back that caught my eyes. The rest look like the rx78 series minus gp02.

dude that'll be awesome, i dunno why , but i prefer him over the alleged main character setsuna

justsomeguy 2007-10-08 09:06

I don't suppose it's possible that the GN-004 is inside GN-005?

Yeah, like that chess character in the manga Dai no Daib˘ken, the Rook one. It was first a huge, slow and heavy character, but when Hadlar was in danger the piece split in two and revealed a slimmer and faster warrior. I doubt they'd do the same with Virtue but the big armor could be removable, maybe.

Nvis 2007-10-08 13:29

Aren't most Gundam shows have 5 starting Gundams?

The last one is probably out there somewhere, probably Celestial Beings has it, but no pilot good enough for it?

If it does exist, I do have a feeling that it may be a close-range type, since besides the Exia, the others look like mid->long range types (doesn't mean they don't have close-range weapons, though).

cyoti 2007-10-08 18:24

Isn't Exis already a close range melee type?

#4 could as well become the gundam of the antagonist pilot or char clone.

WhiteWings 2007-10-08 23:36

Exia - Well balanced but no obvious specialty compared to the other three.
Dynames - Sniper and long-range support.
Kyrios - Best at hit and run and the sole transformable Gundam.
Virtue - Its all about speaking softly and carryins some heavy guns.

All four are above average compared to the rest of the mechs used so far. Not as the 'ultimate robot' as the gundams in Gundam Wing did but still above average. All four probably could handle close combat just as well.

But indeed. I'd like to see a 5th one sometime. What would its specialty be? The one thing that would be likely would be a stealth based one.

Those are actually both really insightful ideas. I don't want that Japanese student to die, but you're right about him just being there...and I think it would be totally awesome if we got a female Gundam pilot, just in the name of equality and realism. :heh:

Of the last 10-11 tv series, only 2 (Wing and SEED) starts off with 5 different gundams, so no.
