Mysterious Cities of Gold : the Movie

Alas, I don't have any info : the new is too recent. Franco-Japanese Serie.

Mysterious Cities of Gold was a bit kiddie, but very interesting show in the 80's. Pretty standard fare of Atlantean vs Mu Empire, but well done, with great music.

Here is the best I could fin, a youtube link..

(Ok, it's a cheesy show, but it was very popular in Europe and Canada...)

Are you serious? This is the most well thought out, spiritual and thought-provoking anime I've ever seen. The reason I always thought it flopped commercially (it was never 'popular' anywhere TBH) was because it was too advanced for children which, strangely, was the audience it was aimed at. If you can reccomend some anime to me with real depth and creativity and, preferably, a continuing story arc (i.e. a TV series if possible) then I'll have a gander. Most anime looks like brainless action superhero stuff from where I'm at. I haven't seen anything approaching the majesty of MCoG.
