The last episode. Many other good to great series are ending around this time . This series had a pretty good run throughout the year. In retrospect, a year may have been much and perhaps breaking it into half-years would have been better.

I would not get too down since Season 2 has been confirmed.

The specifics are probably going to be announced either with this episode or on Wednesday when Shounen Sunday comes out in Japan.

Sadly, no specifics at the end of the episode, just the confirmed announcement.

And the episode was all kinds of win. I eat my words regarding the previous episode having a great sense of closure, because this one had it better.

saw the last episode. a great ending, i believe. in addition, it was my favorite non-Hina chapter in the manga! and it was nice to see it finally in anime.

with that, Hayate "season" 1 comes to an end - an amazing 52 episode ride. season 2 can't come soon enough.

Hina and her fear of airplanes:

Best Flying Method Ever! :heh:

As for Season 2, I guess the final screen cleared all doubts (if any were still existing) :)

I really like Hayate no Gotoku, and now a second season has been confirmed. Great news indeed :D

Nope thats Hina only

Excellent finale for S1. The time slip story from the manga was great, and the Ayu x Hina side story was great as well (Hina in overalls + tube top =). Plus nice tie ins from other supporting characters that we would expect for a final episode. Looking forward to S2!

the sad thing is that Hayate is only one guy and he has so many girls after him, I don't have a favorite girl either! I really wish he could be with all them :(

Eh, I do have a favourite but to be honest I can narrow down the number of girls who realistically have chance with him to one.

Then again I'm only at episode 38 and the last time I read the manga was in January 2007. :heh:

Oh, I nearly forgot, just wanted to say that Back to the Future reference is epic. A very appropriate one too.

Fynal_Fyre 2008-03-31 15:00

Epic end to the series, and with that final scene, a season two is more or less in the bag.

In my opinion, this particular Ep had an inspired mix of anime-originality and Manga-Original scenes. +1 to SynergySP.:heh:

Strange they chose to end with such an early manga chapter, but it's a great stand-alone that really shows what HnG is all about - tsundere-twintail-loli ojousamas, invincible combat butlers, and pink haired student council presidents.
