OMGOMGOMG YESYESYES! More CLAMP-animated Godness *___*

Hopefully this doesn't turn into the next Tsubasa Chronicles Season 2....

Shiroth 2008-12-06 13:39

Good news, good news indeed. I can't wait to see how they'll animate the adorable nature of this series.

C'mon here, where's the love for Kobato?!? Anyway, an intersting announcement was made and here's a link to the article/picture (warning: big picture is really big).link
Apparently these guys start appearing in the latest chapter (drop 15 but it hasn't been translated yet so I can't confirm this myself) so some older CLAMP fans should be pleasantly surprised now.

Shounen?! At first I thought it was a shoujo manga! :heh:

There's a lot of shounen titles like Kobato.

yezhanquan 2009-07-11 21:25

CLAMP's art style is probably more shojo than shounen, but the stories they come up with makes me wonder if the dames were on crack at some point during their careers.

MeganeShounen 2009-07-12 01:12

I gave up on Tsubasa when the story got too convoluted for my simple tastes...

That being said, I welcome a Kobato anime adaptation. It seems fairly more lighthearted so far...
And with cameos from Touya and Misaki so far, I'm pleased. :)

And iirc, that angel in the scan (Kohaku) is from W Wish... the same manga where the Ushagi-sans come from. Yeah, those sunflower-wielding winged bunny-eared messengers of the Higher Power. Cute. :D

I believe CLAMP does "simple" stories once in a blue moon. Most of their tales involve some sort of secrets, one way or another.

Yeah, and this title is full of them. :p

Yay CLAMP!

I think I might watch this.

The manga is published under the shounen comic imprint Kadokawa Comics Ace, so yeah its a shounen manga.

Kohaku from Wish is also mentioned by name in there and some of the main characters might be angels....
I'm wondering exactly how they will adapt it. Will they show the earlier chapters where Kobato is trying to get the bottle? And the chapters are so short (14 or 15 pages for a monthly chapters!) that I'm worried that might have to do some splicing...

Haven't seen the manga yet but since this is CLAMP were talking about, I think I'm going to check out this show. Heehee~

Anyone know anything about the new Kobato./Wish article in Newtype?

Zanarkand Princess 2009-07-20 16:16

Oh I'm really excited for this anime. It's been a while since I heard any new news about it though. I don't even know when it's coming out.

I believe it'll air in the Fall season later this year.

Shiroth 2009-07-23 16:01

I hope the cast is announced soon. Want to know who is going to voice Kobato, and keeping my fingers crossed that Takehito Koyasu voices Ioryogi. :heh:

Same_Shark 2009-07-23 19:58

Mika Kikuchi would be a great Kobato, even if she already voices Mokona.
