Nothing like a new spoiler to kick off the week, eh? ;) A small summary is now out (of course, credit goes to aohige for translation):

-Whitebeard fights Aokiji. Whitebeard gets frozen, but it turns out that the admiral's frosty powers have no effect on the mighty emperor. Whitebeard then enhances his spear with what may be either Haki or his earthquake power (apparently the spoiler provider wasn't certain about this,) and attacks Aokiji. However, the attack proved ineffective against the admiral. Jozu then appears and tackles Aokiji, knocking him back. Aokiji is bleeding from his mouth, but Whitebeard looks to be in much worse shape......

-Meanwhile, Luffy is fighting against Momonga and apparently a second VA, as well (again, the spoiler provider isn't too sure). However, both VAs are skilled Rokushiki users (YES, my prediction came true! :D), and Luffy is once again biting off more than he can chew. Furthermore, Kizaru decides to follow up on the assault and blows Luffy away towards Whitebeard's location (and apparently he's been KO'ed, since his eyes turned white.....). Whitebeard tells Luffy that he did a good job, and Akainu appears. Whitebeard vs. Akainu is now imminent......

-Marco is about to rescue Ace when Garp attacks him with his fist. The VA tells Marco that he'll have to kill him first if he intends to save Ace.....

Well now, this chapter sounds like a winner already from this small summary alone! I'm glad to learn that we're getting some action from the Buster Call VAs (by the way, I'm hoping that it's Doberman who's fighting with Momonga). Too bad everyone's picking on Luffy, though I know this was to be expected, anyway (after all, he was warned several times beforehand that he'd be an ant compared to the mighty forces clashing in this war....).

It looks like Whitebeard's injuries are giving him a bit of trouble against the admirals (I know the summary said he shrugged off getting frozen, but I really wonder about that....). Also, it's funny to see that Jozu got away with tackling a Logia for a second time (I still wouldn't be so hasty to jump to the conclusion that he's using Haki, though). Garp vs. Marco sounds sweet as well, but I wonder where Sengoku is? Maybe he'll interrupt Akainu mid-fight so he can have a piece of Whitebeard? Hmmm.....

Well, the full summary + pics should be out in a couple days' time......

The spoiler sounds uber-cool, so here's hoping that it is legit. Luffy taking on 2 Rokushiki users sounds almost suicidal (can you just imagine fighting 2 Luccis :eyespin: ?)). And Garp finally stepping forward to live up to his position sounds majorly cool. There's only what, 2...3 weeks until the month long break, and Oda seems to be planning on packing as much action in to these next few chapters as he can...

Yeah, I'm glad that my prediction about the VAs being Rokushiki users seems to be true. Those VAs are probably a lot stronger than Lucci, as well (remember, Momonga was an active VA when Lucci was still a kid), so they'd definitely be extremely troublesome opponents for Luffy. Let's just hope that don't spam the Roku Ougan technique on him.....

Also, if Garp has a Fist of Love, I wonder if he has a Fist of Hate, as well? :p

Even without the full summary, it seems Sengoku won't be fighting this chapter yet. Hope he does get his hands dirty soon enough.

And Garp vs Marco... oh boy, badassery at its maximal.

Well, Aokiji is getting hurted more than the other admirals... I must say I would like to see Akainu getting ass-whipped by Newgate :D

Luffy is getting gangbanged to hard. Getting wounded previous chapter bye Ao Kiji and now Kizaru and two VAs keep attacking him, give the rookie a break! And I wonder how long it'll take before he gets back on his feet. WB's approval is cool and all but Luffy just can't be done in for good for this arc yet.

And kind of surprised Garp decided to move, here I thougth he would just keep sitting on the sidelines but he actually decides to stop Marco. Marco couldn't have gotten a worse opponent, kind of hope Luffy be the one to talk, yell or slap some sense in to him cause Garp can't be a serious opponent or I'll be dissapointed in him forever. He can't seriously stop people trying to save someone he considers his grandchild, could he? Well can't wait to find out the next comming weeks cause Garp was one of the persons who interested me the most this war and finally his turn is comming up.

marvelB 2009-12-07 13:21

BTW, still hoping that Buggy is defrosted soon. If Whitebeard can shrug off getting frozen, then so can the future Pirate God! :D

Anyways, I wonder if we'll see get any more action than what was described in the summary? I'm actually pretty interested in Crocoboy vs. Dofla, if for no other reason than to see who will be the one to stand triumphant in the Battle of the Pimps. :p

If it wasn't for Croc, Ace would be dead rite now.
WB, Joz, Marco or Luffy nobody could've done something to prevent Ace's death and Garp didn't move an inch.
Ace is as good as dead in Garp's mind.

Lol. Between the 2 of them, Crocodile is more of a Pimp to me. I mean the man use to be own a Casino, had badass organization, fancy meeting room, with gold out the buttcheeks, and to put the finishing touches.... the fur coat = PIMP.

I'm curious in their fight too. Like I said before in a previous post. I'm curious to how Doflamingo's power work against a Logia user, because I don't know how he can control something that's not solid.

It would have been more interesting for me if it was Aokiji fighting instead Garp

I dunno.... I think Dofla running a slave-trading operation at Sabaody is already proof enough of his "pimpness". I mean, he's been making a fortune off literally selling bodies for years.....

Y'know, I wonder what (original) Kuma is up to? We haven't really seen much action from him these past few chapters, have we? If he has the slightest bit of humanity left in him, methinks he should heal Luffy again because the poor kid is gonna experience real hell when Iva's hormones wear off......

That is not true because right after crocodile saves ace marco says: 'oh.. guess im not needed' while standing on the execution platform. he was just going to save ace

To tell the truth, I just want to see the Buddah showing why he is worthy of his SUPA Afro... :D

And without Garp focusing on Ace (and assuming Sengoku went on rage and isn't in the plataform anymore either), I wonder if someone couldn't sneak over there? Too bad Luffy's out for this chapter...

Yeah but he prolly wouldn't have been there in time.

Whoa Whoa Whoa, if Sengoku had the afro still no one would be able to beat him, he could take on the whole WB army by himself no probs then:p

One can not underestimate the powa of the afro!

but damn....I didn't want to know of any spoilers but I just couldn't resist!

and god it looks like its gonna be another awesome chapter!

Well, considering that Marco literally appeared just in the nick of time to save Luffy from the exact same thing happening to him, I would say that Marco could have intercepted two lowly executioners’ blades...not that it really matters.

If they are true....

That being said, Shirohige vs. Akainu sounds the most interesting so far (sorry Garp), if for no other reason than Akainu is the one who tricked Squado. Then again, I think it would be cool if Squado and the other NW Captains were the ones to battle Akainu (for the same reasons that Shirohige would want to kick Aka-kun's ass).

ZeroForever 2009-12-07 16:46

pretty sure Sengoku still has the afro... if you look at his pic on the last page of the previous chapter you see his hair is puffy around the hat, so it appears that the hat is just pushing down on the center of the afro.

There's a difference in not interfering with the execution and actually stopping someone who tries to free Ace. The first is remaining on the sidelines and the second is not remaining on the sidelines. That's what surprises me, the fact that he actually is going to help the marines execute Ace and not stay neutral and just watch the outcome.

And I take Marco's words over your opinion. Especially due to what James pointed out, if he could save Luffy from Ao Kiji with the other 2 admirals beeing near them then he could've surely saved Ace from getting executed bye two low tier marines to.

Blackbeard D. Kuma 2009-12-07 19:27

So, this is the first time that we've seen Aokiji take some serious damage. It took long enough, didn't it :)? Akainu is most likely next since he's going to contend with Whitebeard.

I'm really glad to know that Momonga and whoever that other vice admiral is are not pushovers in the least bit. I can't wait to see them utilize their rokushiki skills and lay the smackdown on Luffy :).

As for Kizaru defeating Luffy, I'm perfectly fine with this. Luffy had no chance against the most formidable opposition (Sengoku, 3 admirals, and Garp) that stood in his way, so it was only inevitable that he would eventually get destroyed if he crossed paths with said opposition. He's been getting "free rides" anyways. Ivankov's hormones have kept him awake and energized for such a long time, and his powerful allies have had to save his ass on numerous occasions. It's about time his luck ran out.

james0246 2009-12-07 19:34

^And now the set-up is complete for Luffy to unleash his full "ambition" :). No one else is backing him up now, and his strength is almost gone, so all that is left is his indomitable will. If this spoiler is true, I expect a fully fledged Haki "blast" from Luffy sometime in the next 3 chapters (or at least before the break).

noktown 2009-12-07 19:38

Now it's a matter of time before Luffy has his Raging Revival which will most likely be followed by a Haki Burst which will leave everyone with their mouths open when they feel his Haki ;o

Edit***

james beat me ;o
