Attractive female lead

I don't really care what genre, my only requirement is a female protagonist (with a plus of them being attractive.

Basla, the lead female for Guardian of the Spirit is attractive. Plus, as a bonus, she is one of the greatest heroines in anime.

NoLongerSane 2010-06-12 21:21

Mokoto Kusanagi from the Ghost in the Shell series.

Sackett 2010-06-12 21:55

Shakugan no Shana

Katanagatari

Soul Eater

Full Metal Panic

Haruhi Suzumiya

Read or Die

The possibilities are endless... unless you mean the main lead is clearly the female (as opposed to co-leads of one male and one female).

Second both of those, and Basla from KCO's post.

I'll suggestions of various non-yuri genres with some plot: My-hime, Canaan, Kobato, B Gata H kei, and The Twelve Kingdoms all have a clear female protagonist in the series who is the main character.

Also technically both Lucky Star, and K-ON would fit though they're Slice of Life/Comedy <_<, and so would just about any yuri/shoujo-ai series :uhoh:.

NoLongerSane 2010-06-13 00:55

I would like to include Mylene Hoffman from 009-1. I second the female leads from Full Metal Panic and Soul Eater.

jedinat 2010-06-13 00:57

Witch Hunter Robin
Aria the Animation
Noir
Michiko to Hatchin (I like this one less, but there is an emphasis on attractive)

Zippicus 2010-06-13 01:08

With such an ambiguous request and no examples of what you like, the best I can offer is about 3/4 of the anime ever made. You might have better luck just hitting links randomly at a site like AniDB or ANN and seeing what tickles your fancy.

No mention of Motoko from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex? edit: lol, I completely missed NoLongerSane's post.

What about Ryougi Shiki from Kara no Kyoukai?

Or Nausicaa from Valley of the Wind?

Also, Lady Oscar from Rose of Versailles
Chiyoko from Millennium Actress
Haruhi from Ouran High School Host Club

NoLongerSane 2010-06-13 01:19

I thought of two more series that might fit the bill. Try the female protagonists from Agent Aika and Najica Blitz Tactics. Pretty much both dealling with the Spy genera with the latter one once being promoted with it's own limited edition panty to commemorated it's North American release from the now defunct ADV Films.

Aiagas 2010-06-13 01:57

Umm...Fushigiboshi No Futagohime? Princess Fine and Princess Rein are the main protagonist.

Not only that, try HeartCatch PreCure or K-ON!

Check the third post in this thread. :p

There's quite a selection of beauty's in Fate/stay night, and if you want something recent you have Lucy and Erza from Fairy Tail.

Vantek 2010-06-13 04:19

The whole cast of Claymore is almost entirely composed of attractive females :)

Ah, good recommendation.

I guess it would help if the OP told us what type of girls he likes. :p

lots of anime that people think is yuri is actually their over active imaginations tho

Bonta Kun 2010-06-13 09:46

Well I'll just add to most of whats already been said

Ikkitousen
Queen's Blade
Kampfer:heh:
Canaan
Grenadier
Spice and Wolf
(?)
I guess Nanoha Strikers fits
Don't know what your take on shoujo is but guess I'd say Kaichou no Maid-sama

If you want to try out some manga then I'd recommend

Kurohime
The Legend of Maian
Kanojo wa Kanno Shosetsuka
Zero In
Change123

I guess Peridot would be good as well, altho not much to it really expect for the fact that the main lead is just hot enough to make it worth the read but only just.

Repelsteeltju 2010-06-13 09:52

Railgun (Misaka, Kuroko and Saten. I luve all three!)
Pandora Hearts (Alice!)
Black Lagoon (Revy, that might be a matter of taste though)
Ga-Rei-Zero (Yomi, Kagura and a whole lot of fun)
Gunslinger Girl (loli's with guns)
Garden of Sinners (Shiki she's strong and sexy as hell)
Kaze no Stigma (Tsundere lead)
Nanoha (first season has loli's)
Spice and Wolf (Delicious Horo)
Tatakau Shisho - The Book of Bantorra (the female protagonist doesn't get all that much screen time concidering she's the main protogonist)
Vampire Knight Guilty (shoujo series)
Kaichou wa Maid-sama! (shoujo series)

JRendell 2010-06-13 10:58

Valkyria Chronicles - Alicia
Chrome Shelled Regios - Nina and Felli
Summer Wars - Natsuki
NHK ni Youkoso - Misaki
Shikabane Hime: Aka/Kuro - Makina

A lot of you are recommending anime with male protagonists. If the TC wanted any anime with pretty girls, it would be much simpler to list those without.

I agree that's why I listed so few ones, and only where the female character is clearly the main lead/protagonists.

True, but I was referring actual yuri series where they've actually kissed or such :p.
