to be honest if you didn't like wing, and liked seed, you should not watch gundam x. Gundam X is not very well done, but it is somewhat interesting. It sounds like you like the more new mecha type...

Infinite Ryvius may fall into this genre, not too sure though. If you like hopeless situations then you should check it out. Scrapped Princess also kinda fits in.
