I watch my Anime both ways , I always have.... to get a complete idea of the story. Sometimes I need to pause the subs to be able to read all of it, that's a royal pain! The speech is much faster...

The last 2 manga I bought have been by Korean artists, so are they indeed Manga? Or are they called something else?

You can find titles that are more suggestive than full blown all over anime and manga is growing in leaps and bounds. My fav is Fake. A close second is Yami No Matsuei or the english...
