Er...I pretty much thought it'd end up like that....but really now. That wasn't very nice. I'm thinking the author just kind of gave up on the series, so the world ended up with the worst...

That's pretty exact. I got the same impression on that. She makes black and white characters, so that means she's either really smart and trusts her readers, or she's just not good at character...
