Nothing at all, kind sir. Merely personal opinion that if you read the novels, you will find a lot more than you normally will in the world of Shana. It changes your perception drastically, I guess.

Vol. 10 is an integral part to Shana imao. Hell, even more important than Shana's backstory, if you ask me.
