Depth is good but alot of that has to do w/ the actual render itself.
Font is unpleasant (sorry)

I use Illustrator CS3 for the basic shapes of the piece, once I have the basic shapes I move into photoshop CS3 to add the finer details such as the lighting, shading and some other effects ^_^
