Sound like a problem I had with my Dell. Try CoreAVC might be the only thing to help you play the videos.

Whats your CPU and Graphics/Video Card?

P.S. LoL, CoreAVC dosen't always help though....

Hello,
I've recently bumped into an annoying problem playing videos. The format I've been having problems with are h264. However, until recently I haven't been having any issues playing them at all....
