Gotcha :) Sorry to missread :) I see what you were getting at. There is a lot of christian symbolism in anime normally, and FMA will allways give us things to ponder - its a nice rich and meaty world...

I would definitely agree with those who say FMA...
I would definitely agree with those who say FMA is an alternative reality, but I would term it more an "alternate history" in terms of it being set in a hypothetical modification of our own world....
