My all time favourite male seiyuu is Koyasu Takehito. His voice is as smooth as chocolate :D His singing voice is also OK but I like him better when he is speaking.

In live action adaptations, producers tend to remove all the humour in the original anime and we end up with a slow and boring series. That is why I am wary with adaptations.

I have not seen a lot of historical anime but I love this genre now. Anime or live action, I watch anything based on the Shinsengumi.
I know some people do not like Kurogane but I enjoyed it.
