It should be interesting to see how well/close the new season is to the manga. Both versions of the story were pretty good.

About the only American related cartoons I watch are the Simpsons and occaisonally Family Guy. Sadly, I'm finding a lot of the US's cartoons are becoming rather dopey. :(
