Yeah, agree. If you don't have fun doing a thing, then don't do it. That's probably one reason that some people retired from fansubbing. They found it no fun anymore.

Timing is just tedious after 3 - 4 episodes. People usually give up after that. It takes patience and endurance to keep going.

Also, there are more fansubbing groups these days than 1-2 years...
