I don't think it will be exactly a remake into a 1-2 Hour Movie, take a look at "Air - Movie" for an example if you ever saw it, From a 12 Episode Series into a movie, it actually did well, I liked...

Omfg... I never imagined a remake or port of this at all. O_O I MUST get this, even if it's import, FFT is my favorite of the Final Fantasy Franchise.

The only thing that makes Final Fantasy XIII & Final Fantasy Versus XIII Connected/Related is the Crystals, thats it. The Crystal is what gives you "powers, magic, strenght, etc."...
