Well, yes kinda. Being an intelligence officer, he's been everywhere and knows many people. It's just that with his attitude, only 1 out of 10 acquaintance can be considered psuedo-friends. The rest simply know him or can't stand him.
The "general majority" opinion on Joseth is pretty simple, actually. He's an arrogant, proud first-rate bastard and inconsiderate asshole, but people like him/her are neccesary in all fields and lines of work.

If it’s Saga… he really just might…That idiot of a general…he understands the necessity of inevitable sacrifices, but sometimes he tries so hard…it feels almost stupid.
“You know, don’t you? Against your General and Count…even though our side was weaker, the general still used them… just to hold them off.”
I lied…knowing full well that is not true… The General didn’t doubt Isdera or Wira, even against the odds they were facing… because…
”Saga believed in them, didn’t he? He believed that they will make it through.”
This woman… she talks as if she knows about Saga beyond just his name and his myths…
“…Did Saga ever tell any of you…he loved someone?”
To love someone… I recall Saga’s words… and mine. That night, the bonfire after a battle, the time of which he talks of the one he cares about, a woman he held dear more than anything… someone who is precious to him…
Could she be…?

No answer…just a dry laughter from her, not of mistake, not of enmity, just a most raw laugh so dry and low, it almost felt like she was croaking…was she, crying?

But…within that split second…as the magical energy boosted and collected attempted to burst out…I saw…an all too familiar image… a hair that shines like the silver moon in the skies…

Our eyes met… and words met…just like how we always did… but to think, we’d meet again, 2 days earlier than promised…under this circumstances…
Her spell only a split second away from me… mine too…would’ve shot her…but instinctively…I turned my spell towards me… as Ragnarok and Tri-Heart…shot towards me…
“No…NOOOOOOOOO!!!!”
Tiara’s voice rang out…as she tried to stop her own spell…It was too late… I couldn’t even stop my own…all I could do, is to just redirect it…
So…the one who reigns the Holy Belka is the Holy Empress…irony…
I was then consumed by hellfire…

Saga…Saladin…was Saga…

Saga…consumed by Ragnarok and his own spell he took to save me...as the blast subsided…he fell to the ground…
I rushed over… please…don’t die…Saga…

Otherwise…he’ll be consumed by the irreversible status effects of Mandake…

What is this…? I can’t see anything… Everything is darkness…
Only the sounds of tears…and something wet…hitting my cheeks…

And I never told her…but I’m feeling something deep inside being pulled further and further into an abyss…what is this feeling…?

Which I threw away… but… I did not regret it…

And what came afterwards…was just darkness… a strange darkness enveloped me, taking me somewhere…

Here I am…carrying the woman who plucked my eyes out, like a little princess, as I flew upwards to the source of magical explosion… Granted… I still had her binded up all proper and tight… but still…
What happened to my oath that once I got my hands on the little bitch that gorged out my last good eye… I would &%#@! * and $%#@!10* and ^%$@$#%#%##%!!! her so bad I made her wish she was never born?
Sigh…I can’t just deal with woman…
“I still haven’t completely trusted you… Besides, you’d make a good bargaining chip if things turn to the worst.”
But honestly…it’s very worrying… She doesn’t seem like she’s lying, and from the way Saga told me of his woman…it seems…possible.
Reaching the top…we saw a hole in the ceiling…and what we, or rather she laid our eyes on...
I could tell from her reaction… It was too late.
Saga’s presence…faint…lying there…and a another’s holding him…the Princess?
“Princess!”
Shamal called out to the woman she called Princess…but she wasn’t responding… and all of a sudden…I felt a very very dark and ominous feeling… like the air was about to consume everything around it…
[Spirit Fusion.]
And just instantly…the wings that were behind the Princesss…sprouted out, enshrouding her in a giant cocoon of wings, as they slowly spread out beyond… the magical density of it was so thick that I could make out its shape even blind… just as it was about to capture Saga…
“Chain Bind!”
I used an offensive move on Saga’s unresponsive body, but it didn’t matter. I needed the speed, and quickly caught hold of both Shamal and Saga, as I flew off as fast as I could…
“Princess!!!!”
“Shut your wapping, woman. That “thing”…isn’t your princess anymore!”
Damn it… Damn it….
[Diabolic…End.]
As I flew down more and more…the wings of the Princess seems to have hardened, as I hear the castle walls cracking and breaking at the force of it… I flew out to the castle plains…as I sensed Isdera, the Iron Count and the Blazing General… and one more feeling… Wira? No…but similar…shaped like…an arrow…
“Isdera! Grab on!”
I released my chains out towards him, as I grabbed “Wira” forcefully... he held it, but…
“Signum, Count…come as well.”
What was he doing? Extending his hands to the enemy as well? How much weight do you think I can carry!? Besides, we don’t have much…
All of a sudden… the presence of the Count…and the General…disappeared…
“Signum!!! Vita!!!!”
Shamal’s voice cried out… I didn’t even need to know what happened… they too were killed…by their very own Princess…
“Tesla!!! Zafira!!!”
I heard the castle walls shatter further… more has died at the Princess’s hands it seems…even those who weren’t fighting...As I flew as fast as I could, carrying the weight of Saga, Shamal, Isdera and Wira… the rest…did not make it…
This isn’t victory…This isn’t defeat…what the hell is this?

Signum…Vita…Tesla…Zafira…all dead, consumed by…the Princess, as her highness’s dark field slowly expands…slowly consuming this entire land… and here I am, taken prisoner by the enemy… being forced to check on the enemy General, together with the blind one…whom eyes I once pulled out accidentally.
Together…we checked his body again…to check his pulse, his temperature, his heartbeats…
The results…are still the same, even for both of us.
“It’s been 2 hours…No difference.”
“That’s right… Saladin...Saga, is dead.
He has stopped breathing…
He’s…dead.”

Next one should be a little lighter to the heart, and more fluffy. Of course, it'll still be in context and neccesary to the story.
