Kiriya wasn't surprising, considering it was the game-canon, but the "Aquarion-AHHHH~!" from Ishida was totally unneccesary lol.

heh, actually that "ahhh" from Kiriya along with the "atsui!" from Souma before it were probably very necessary from a ratings' perspective. I crossed this show off my list long time ago after sampling episode 1 raw. But after seeing all the buzz that scene generated on the web I became curious and decided to download 12 just to check it out for myself. Now that I've seen it I so wish I didn't... such a blatant fan service for the female audience, especially those Gundam Seed/IshidaxHoshi/HoshixIshida fangirls and now they'll probably follow this show which, with so many girls, would normally appeal more to guys, just hoping to see more stuff like that. as for me, I shall just continue to ignore this show from now on even though Ishida Akira is my number 1 favourite seiyuu...
