INTRODUCTION
Aurelia. One of the many non-administered worlds that scatter across the multiverse, it is home for the exotic Aurelian magic system, unique for its regeneration and restoration properties. Aurelia is also known as the Strangereal World, often described as the mirror image of another non-administered world: Planet Earth. Almost every aspect of Terran elements -- cultures, socioeconomy, geopolitics, etc. -- can be found on Aurelia although they are generally always one step ahead. It is not uncommon to find a Caucasian Aurelian who can understand languages spoken by Hispanic Aurelian and vice versa, as Aurelians in general are capable of linguistic knowledge; this aspect is treated with high regards that the TSAB frequently sends their officers to study Aurelia's multicultural diversity.
One of the most notable Aurelian features is the military aspect: recently declassified TSAB reports show that Aurelian military level is not only comparable to those found on Earth but also surpasses them. For example, while Terran Su-37 multirole fighter programme is cancelled due to lack of funding, Aurelian programme on same plane continues with success and even sprouts to super-fighters such as the ADF-01 Falken.
HISTORY
Aurelia's history began with the foundation of the Sotoan Empire on year 875 AAE (Ancient Aureliuan Era). Although there were many civilizations found all over the planet, the Sotoan Empire was the milestone of Aurelia's course of history. As the birthplace of Aurelian magic, the empire that stretched across the vast Verusan Continent was also the first to exploit the potential future of air superiority. Early records showed that the Sotoans were the founder of air force with the establisment of the Dragon Riders, the world's first aerial fighting squadron. This formidable air cavalry unit, combining the best of dragon taming and Aurelian magic, demonstrated the importance of aerial dominance as they led the empire's military campaign to strengthen their presence on the continent.
Following the rise of Sotoan Empire and its mighty air force, other nations also competed against each other to build their air power, and the forerunner of this race was the Belkans (not to be confused with Belkan people found on Administered Worlds). Not wanting to be left behind, they (who, in turn, would form the Belkan Federation) hastened their military development to catch up with the Sotoan armed force. They even founded the legendary Baron Legions, one of Aurelia's oldest active squadrons to rival Sotoa's Dragon Riders.
The arms race reached its pinnacle when on 400 AAE, three of the ancient Strangereal World's powerhouses (Sotoa, Usea and Belka) clashed in the Great World War. Taking place in the Atlantic Ocean (and interestingly, on a group of islands named Aurelian Archipelago) it would mark the neverending struggle for absolute dominance on Aurelia for the next 2400 years, making the planet one of the most militaristically unstable administered worlds. The war was won by the Belkans after intensely fighting the triangle conflict for 300 days and 300 nights, and their victory put their name in history books as Aurelia's strongest nations until the advent of advanced aviation technology 1900 years later.
THE WAR NEVER ENDS
After their defeat, Sotoan Empire began to weaken and lose all its territories. In spite of the empire's postwar leaders to keep their nation standing, civil wars and political unrests proved to be too much for Sotoa to handle and on 125 NAE (New Aurelian Era) Sotoan Empire collapsed after having existed for an entire millennium. Sotoa's legacy continued to thrive, however, as most (if not all) texts were brought out of the continent and studied in extensive measures. Scholars were amazed by Sotoan technologies that were well ahead of their time, and even discovered that Sotoan astrologers had foreseen the rise of future aerial super-power, but with limited knowledges on ancient Sotoan languages it was safe to assume that the premonition was made to appease the crippled Sotoan Empire in bid to reclaim their fame.
After the war, Aurelian magic gradually became forgotten as nations on Aurelia entered period of peace, and concentrated on using technologies for civilian purposes. It was not always the same case for Sotoan mages; a group of them decided to travel across multiverses in order to enhance their knowledge on magic, and they happened to arrive on Visalia when war was ravaging the Europan Continent. Acting as an observer, they took precarious steps not to take side with Kingdom of Britannia and the Holy Plataean Empire, but they were attracted to the Reality Marbles used by Britannian mages, especially the unique Unlimited Works. As the Europan War ended, the Aurelian Mages (identified by their Britannian counterparts as “The Aviators”) stayed on Visalia for 30 years, learning and perfecting Reality Marble abilities they studied. Some of them eventually resided on the planet on permanent basis, and even became the citizens of Britannia. For them, the war never ended, and it would never be.
