This is my first post that is not in the introduction thread
I'm a great Nanoha fan and i really love the idea of an Character Creation Thread... so please allow me to participate!
I apologize for grammatical mistakes...
Elric Thorn - The Mage of Carnage
The Mage of Carnage

Birth & Childhood:
Elrics family had a long tradition of serving in the TSAB. It was there, his father Beliar met his mother Anesha and some time later they married. Soon Anesha got pregnant and both parents agreed to call the boy Elric. But the birth was overshadowed by tragedy: Anesha died in childbirth.
Beliar first was lost in grieve, but realized quickly that he was the only parent the boy now had. It was thanks to his father, that Elrics childhood was a pretty normal one.
Driven by the thought of making his father proud and coming closer to his deceased mother, Elric signed up for TSAB Ground Training School at the age of 14.
He was a smart and cheerful young man who became quickly friends with others.
Two years later he graduated and was assigned to the GAS Ground Combat Unit 267.
267 didn’t saw much action and was mostly used for security and escort missions. Two years later Elric passed his B+ examination.
After some years, Elrics squad was assigned to guard an archaeological excavation on a small backwater planet which was only interesting because of its ancient Midchilda ruins. To avoid laziness and boredom, Elric helped the archaeologists by carrying equipment, helping in the field kitchen and doing other small labours.
It was there he was to carry a crate with artefacts into the storage when the earth suddenly shook. No one ever found out if it was a natural event or something different, but something inside of the crate awoke. The ancient device that slumbered for so long broke out of the crate and buried itself into Elrics right forearm.
Overwhelmed by pain, Elric lost his consciousness and when he came to he realized in shock that everyone around him was killed. Than he saw the activated black device on his forearm, with its bloodstained claws still extended. Elric quickly realized that he was the one who killed them and in panic and despair he fled the scene.
Soon after, a TSAB search party found the remains of the excavation. While securing the bodies TSAB soon realised that Elric Thorn was nowhere to be found. Investigation also showed that a filed Lost Logia artefact was missing. TSAB concluded that Elric had murdered his companions and took the artefact. Elric was now a wanted class 1 criminal.
Elric started wandering from planet to planet, afraid of what would happen if he surrendered and what really happened back then.
It was after a month that he heard by chance that his father died in an accident. Elric grieved some time and decided to take the risk and visit at least his parents grave in Midchilda Central.
After he visited the cemetery, TSAB was finally able to localize him.
The Time of Carnage:
As he encountered a squad of ground forces, his right forearm started to hurt. Carnage decided to identify TSAB personal as “enemy combatants” and started to awaken again. Elric finally realised that he was controlled back than, but it was too late. Carnage took control over his body and the TSAB squad was wiped out. A game of cat and mouse began. Elric struggled against the infernal device on his arm and tried to evade the TSAB at the same time. It was a battle he wasn’t able to win.
Elric lost and Carnage linked with his hosts Linker Core, controlling Elric now completely. Finally able to utilize all of its destructive powers, Carnage began a bloody crusade against the TSAB.
With the help of the chief librarian of the infinite library, who was able to find out what Carnage was and what happened with Elric, TSAB was able to recreate the magical signatures of the enemy Carnage was created to battle.
Hungry for battle, Carnage took the bait: Lured out of the city into the open, TSABs finest attacked him with everything they could, but the fully controlled Elric was still to powerful.
TSAB was slowly overpowered and was on the brink of loosing. It was then, that 3 young Ace-Mages interfered.
After a long and intensive battle, the 3 Aces defeated Carnage, nearly shattering its core and destroying much of its programming in the process.
The Time of Carnage was over.
Elric was soon after brought to a military hospital.
Elric learned from the staff, that Carnages memory was destroyed beyond self repair and it had lost its orders as well its ability to control its host. But he also learned that it was impossible to remove Carnage without killing him. It just was too linked with his Linker Core and system.
Elric had to learn to live with the thing that destroyed his life.
After Elrics recovery, he was taken into custody and received psychological care.
Elric recovered slowly and was confirmed mentally stable.
After this his official trial started but was soon put to a complete halt, as TSAB faced a new crisis involving mechanical Drones, Combat Cyborgs and the Saint's Cradle.
Thanks to chief librarian’s information about Carnage, which proved that Elric was mind controlled, Elric was later found innocent.
Elric now faces often mistrust from other TSAB personnel and officers. TSAB Command tried to use him in different units first but Elric still isn’t able to adjust. After this, decided Command to assign him to the Special Forces, where solo missions are a common thing.
Through his connection with Carnage, his ranking was now tested Air-S+
As a member of the TSAB GAS, Elric was open and easygoing. His was good in making friends but he was also a little naďve.
After he obtained Carnage he changed. Filled with guilt and blaming himself for killing his friends and colleagues, Elric was thrown into sadness and self-loathing. He started avoiding people, becoming more and more careful towards others. He also started to do what was necessary to ensure his survival while wandering other worlds.
Shortly after Carnages awakening his careful nature shifted more and more towards paranoia. Stressed from avoiding TSAB search parties, he tried to suppress Carnage as good a possible, afraid of what would happen if it would gain full control over him.
After Carnage took control over him, his personality was completely overwritten, turning Elric into a battle maniac. He completely stopped talking, only expressing himself with maniacal laughter or sounds of pain and surprise. Elric still remembers how it was fighting under Carnages power and (what frightens him the most) how good he felt back than.
Now that Carnage will never be able again to control someone, Elric is more at ease. But he still has the reputation as “The Mage of Carnage” and finds it hard to trust other people, behaving often cold and antisocial. But if someone manages to gain his trust, he shows a warm and caring side many wouldn’t believe he has.
Trust itself is very important to him. Elric would never betray someone he sees as a friend and expects the same kind of loyalty towards him.
He takes his duties very serious, seeing it as a way to atone for what he did, even if he was controlled.
He sometimes is troubled when his duties collide with his trust in someone else.
The Special Forces - "Sword" Assault & Demolition Unit
The Special Forces of the TSAB are a branch that main purpose is infiltration, espionage, sabotage and other combat operations inside enemy territory.
They are a versatile deployable combat unit and their regulations allow quick and unbureaucratic limiter releases.
However, the Special Forces is kept by TSAB High Command on a short leash. Nearly every operation is supervised by the Intelligence Department or a temporary commanding officer and support requests from other departments can’t be turned down.
Swords main purpose is combat and sabotage, mostly carried out by a single combat operative, but collaboration with other TSAB branches is not a rare thing.
In times of peace, swords main duty is the location and destruction of terrorist camps, drug factories and illegal research facilities or the hunt for dangerous, magical beasts.
An ancient Lost Logia Intelligent Device. Carnage was created for war only and has the ability to boost the magical power of its host.
Carnage was created for war. It should enhance warriors and ensure their survival. To do this, it received the ability to control its host (should the host lose his/her consciousness) and retreat to ensure medical attendance.
But it was never put into service. Carnage was stored in the laboratory and forgotten. Over the time its original programming became defective and twisted.
Not knowing its purpose anymore, it’s only remembering that it was created to fight.
Carnages personality is that of a warrior, nothing else. While no more insane and bloodthirsty as it was in the past, it still favours battle and lacks the creativity to come up with non violent solutions. Carnage is normally very quiet, only saying something when it’s necessary or when asked.
Carnages voice is male. It speaks with a dark and raspy voice.
Carnage refers to its host as “My Lord.”
Device Mode: (default mode)
Carnages host has access to its defence spells and a few attack spells.
Carnage extends 3 blades from its front. A spell to enhance the blades becomes available.
The blades themselves are powerful enough to penetrate barriers and armour.
Some powerful range attacks become available.
Elrics Barrier Jacket is based on his old GAS Barrier Jacket he wore at the time he came into contact with Carnage. The colour pattern was changed to match Carnages and armour parts where changed and added to increase overall protection.
The armoured segments of the fingers are claw like, but can be retracted to allow manipulation of objects without scratching or piercing them.
Carnages 3 standard forms of defence.
Advanced Crimson Shield/Barrier/Field:
Stronger versions of the 3 standard protective spells, which can withstood stronger attacks for a longer time, but are more wearying to use.
Self repair spell that is able to fully repair light or medium physical damage on the device and its core, but is unable to repair system errors.
While the blades of Melee Mode are normally powerful enough, it is possible to make them stronger with magic. The blades then are emitting a red glowing aura and their ability to penetrate magical protection is drastically enhanced.
The constant flow of magical energy however, makes the use of this spell more tiring when its used for longer periods. This spell is only available in Melee Mode.
A mid-range attack spell that creates up to six energy bolts which can be shot at one or multiple targets. While the bolts posses good destructive powers and are self homing, they are not agile enough to fly short curves and thus making it hard for them to track targets they already passed.
Twilight Bullet – Full Auto Fire:
A variation of Twilight Bullet, which reduces its power and homing ability in favour of speed and rate of fire. TB-FAF enables the caster to fire a constant spray of fast energy bolts, causing an MG-like effect. While not good in penetrating strong barriers, it is good in keeping targets in defence or cover. This spell is only available in Range Mode.
A powerful long-range attack that enables its caster to fire a highly concentrated beam of energy. The beam is able to break through protective fields and barriers with ease but takes some time to fire. It is also not as wide as similar beam attacks.
This spell is only available in Range Mode.
A spell that uses concussion as an attack form. Magical energy is collected inside the Device. The energy is than released by hitting the ground or another inanimate object, sending a shockwave through it which causes heavy damage in the object or the surrounding area.
This spell cannot be used against magical protected objects.
An area-of-effect spell that creates a globe of dark energy around the caster. While not as strong and with shorter range than the Yami no Sho version, it is enough to attack multiple targets that surround the caster.
By sending out a magical impulse, this search spell makes it possible to find mages and other sources of magical energy in a wide search area. It is not possible to find non-magical things with it.
A quick short-range teleportation spell. Shadow Jump enables its caster to move a short distance between two points in a blink of an eye, even through barriers.
While the Carnage controlled Elric was able to use this spell often in combat to outmanoeuvre his enemies, it now puts Elrics Linker Core under a lot of stress, which makes permanent use impossible.
A bind spell. Shackles made of magical energy are created on the targets wrists and ankles to render it immobile.
The Lost Spells are spells that were only usable by Elric as Carnage was on the peak of its power.
After Carnages near destruction, the possibility to use these spells was lost.
Chains of Torment:
A bind spell that chained its target to a near magic circle. While the target was rendered immobile it also suffered an enormous amount of pain through heat and electroshocks.
A wide-area artillery spell. A ball of highly concentrated magical energy was shot in the air where it split into a cluster of smaller energy bolts, raining to the ground and causing massive damage on impact. Its destructive power and energy consumption was so high, that even the full powered Carnage used it only once as a last trump card.

Ah and this are the timeline notes i made for me... i hope there are no errors.
Elric is born. His mother dies in childbirth.
Elric joins Ground Training School.
Elric graduates Ground Training School and is assigned to Ground Combat Unit 267.
Elric passes his B+ Rank exam.
MC 074 February - July
Unit 267 is assigned for guard duty of an archaeological excavation.
MC 074 August
Elric come into contact with the ancient Midchilda Device Carnage and (under its control) kills everyone at the site, after this he flees and goes into hiding.
MC 074 November – December
Elric finds out that his father died in an accident and decides to go to Midchilda Capital to visit his parent’s grave. Carnage awakens fully and takes over Elric.
“The Time if Carnage” begins and ends with Carnages defeat.
Elric is hospitalized.
TSAB starts to analyse Carnage.
MC 075 January
Elric recovers from his injuries and is taken into custody and starts getting psychological care.
MC 075 May-October
Elric is confirmed mentally stable and is put onto trial.
Through the Combat Cyborg incidents and the awakening of the cradle, Eric’s trail comes to a complete halt.
After the cradle incident Eric’s trail ends. He is found innocent.
Elric is taken into service again and is assigned to the Special Forces.
