Almost from the moment she could walk, Fox has been a most interesting young girl. She has a profound understanding of basic mechanical principles that borders on genius. Barely beyond toy blocks, she has been known to completely dissassemble and reassemble simple devices on her own. By Age Five, her profound understanding allowed her to learn and execute a basic martial arts move just by watching it. Though flawed, it was executed well enough that it was suggested she be enrolled in early self defense courses.
By age nine, she had been enrolled in several courses, and while not a master in any of them, was profficient enough to be quite formidable in hand to hand combat. By now, it was easily noted that she was Impatient, and despite near genius level mechanical ingenuity and application of mechanical force, she couldn't keep up with the theory side, which included bookwork, math, and other non physical materials.
At age twelve, she opted to join the TSAB, and was assigned after her training to the TSA BEST FORCE's Active Test Squadron under Crash. This proved to be quite a good choice. She immediately latched on to the walking demolition derby that is Crash like a big brother.
Izumi currently has extreme proficciency in Jeet Kun Do, Akido, and Jujitsu... Her mechanical skills are well advanced enough that she can predict performances of equipment on sight almost as well as test equipment, making her a good aid to the mechanics, and an astounding vehicle pilot. Though young, she is already an aircraft pilot, and considerably skilled, able to tangle with the likes of the BEST Force's localized vehicle squadrons, Mouse and Yellow. Her proficiency quickly earned her the callsign FOX, after the crafty way in which she used her understanding and translated it directly to combat areodynamics.
Magical Review found that asside from Fox's borderline paranormal understanding of the mechanical, she barely even registers any magical abilities at all.
Noted on the side, it seems that Izumi has a startling ressemblence to a fictional character named Asuka Langley Sorhyu, in both looks, and spunky personality. She has often heralded the nickname 'Second Child', which strikingly fits her position of Unit 02 of the ATS. She also sometimes takes on a momentary attitude of supreme superiority that mirrors her fictional counterpart that Crash has nicknamed the 'Langley Effect'
Izumi has been selectively ranked outside of standard procedure to fill the second-in-command slot under Crash for the roster in the ATS unit by Maj. Gen. Roland. She holds the Officer rank of Captain.
ABILITIES:
Mechanical. If it has moving parts, she can figure it out, in minutes. Often times she can after only doing it once, dissassemble and reassemble mechanical devices faster than those who've worked on them for years.
Martial. While not master rank, she is a black-belt in three hand to hand arts and in the process of learning fencing. She can, and has completely floored Crash for particular insults in single deft moves.
Piloting. She's very good, able to make outdated vehicles perform right up to their envolopes and beyond in ways most pilots are afraid to even attempt. Her short stature also allows her to operate on lower G force diffusion settings, which gives her a better feel for the vehicle's movement through three dimensional space.
The Langley Effect (As dubbed by Crash.)
In moments of superiority, Fox assumes a posture and attitude that makes even the toughest and most stubborn feel humiliated and dehumanized to the point of felling like the moss on the underside of a rock. Of course, with such a position comes an equally vicious possibility of an equally humiliating reversal. She tends to use it only when she feels to have the upper hand in verbal clashes.
