Ennio Morricone - My Name is Nobody
Morgan's past is shrouded in mystery, not to mention that he often claimed to have left it behind him and forgotten about it.
Morgan's friends only cares about what Morgan is now. He is born in a place beyond the TSAB's sphere of influence. His country as well his friends' was the remaining bit of an utopic multidimensional empire that collapsed under the corruption, social decay and an energy crisis.
While a new energy source, best described as magic, has been discovered, it was kept as a secret by the old empire's megacorporations to save their petty interests.
The collapsing empire degenerated into a corporate dictatorship after the last Serenity (the ruler of the Alwion Empire) has been assassinated while the Board of Directors (representing most of the megacorporations' interests) has taken over the parliaments under the claim to restore a democracy.
This, of course, proved to be a lie and farce while the commoners' protesting voices were shut by the corporate legions, the Fomorian Guard, and the Board's secret police, Balor Agency.
Morgan's name has come to fame when he stole a corporate ship with a few friends and began a guerilla war against the corporate legions.
Morgan may be one of the first new users of magic in this corner of the multiverse, and is followed by another magic user named Amergin who transfered his mind and soul in the body of a dog. Amergin is the one teaching the Morgan's crew how to use magic, even in the simplest and most basic forms.
The Scramseax Raiders used their magic to keep the a shaky upperhand on the Fomorian Guard. When Morgan's few victories have come to the people's ears, it became a beacon of hope. Much to Morgan's annoyance who thought that too much hope can be worse than no hope at all.
In some ways, he was right. People joined him with their own ships founded by the very few communities that have enough money and guts to dare challenging the corporate authority.
This much ships and personal have proven to be fatal to most of Morgan's allies. The Fomorian Guard have easily found them and inflicted them a staggering defeat, forcing Morgan and his crew to retreat in the interdimensional "sea" between the multiverse's dimensions.
From now on, his crew and he have attacked patroling TSAB's ships to get supplies to survive, while corporate ships have been tracking them. To add to the injury, the pirates have managed to steal some devices to study the midchildian and neo-belkan systems and adapt them to their own use.
Now, TSAB's new people who are going on patrols often hear stories about a crew of pirates who would attack them when they expect it the least.
magic and combat style
Morgan's primary style rely on the use of his device, a prothesic armcannon that is
connected to his linker core, spinal cord and brain. He'll use it to shoot magical
plasma bursts and can control them like the Strikers, volkenritters or even Aces
do. The implementation of Belka cartridge system in his device has been a welcome change
for Morgan, making the use of his device less stressful and less demanding.
As a last resort, he can use his pistols or even roundhouse or drop kick people in
* Barrier Jacket: See ID picture for an idea of his barrier jacket.
* Protection: Generic all-around protection autocast spell.
* Plasma Reflector: Similar to Nanoha's round shield.
* Hyper Thrust: Morgan's flight spell. His shoes leaves magical golden energy trails
while he fly.
* Plasma Flash: Morgan punches his own device to trigger a magical explosion for
* Plasma Cage: The pirate cast a cage of plasma to lock in his adversary. It works
like a binding spell.
* Evasion: Morgan's own take on bind breaking spell. It meet the same conditions
as midchildian mages or belkan knights.
* Plasma Boom: Generic bread-and-butter attack spell. Morgan sends a plasma blast
that ranges from close range to melee. It's capable to tear thru metal or weak
defensive spells. Like Subaru's Revolver Shoot.
* Plasma Barrage: Similar to Nanoha's Divine Shooter, Morgan form a large plasma
ball on the tip of Gae Bolg's barrel then let it split into several plasma balls
that burst forward.
* Plasma Tempest: A marginally more powerful version of Plasma Barrage, Morgan
with the assistance of Gae Bolg can mentally control a dozen of plasma spheres
at a time.
* Plasma Storm: Morgan's bombardment spell. He vertically fires a large plasma ball.
Instants later, smaller plasma balls rains on the designed area.
* Plasma Nova Smasher: Morgan's own Divine Buster. He unleashes a devastating
magical plasma wave that looks pretty unstable and less controled than the
Divine Buster but is not less dangerous.
So far, Morgan has done the best to avoid the major guns of the TSAB, until the
day he met the enforcers Testarossa and Lanster. Usually, he would laugh in the
face of the danger, but the Ace and the Striker has given him a run for his money
and forced him to retreat. That was a big blow to his pirate pride but he realized
that it is his biggest challenge; indeed, if he can defeat an Ace or even all of
them, it means that he may be strong enough to take on the people who are chasing
him and his crew.
from Space Adventures Cobra for the device.
- Main reason I made this character is to have a PIRATE character. Seriously.
- His names have two elements. First Morgan is taken from the famous Welsh pirate.
Then De Havilland is taken from the
British airplane manufacturer
- I was going for a english/british/irish theme for Morgan, his crew and his country.
Now I am off.
