The town was rather large, I realized that by the time the bus I was taking was halfway to the northern most point in it. However, I didn't realize I had absolutely no idea where I was headed. I had planned to finish up near Nanoha's bakery but unfortunately... I realized I had no idea where that actually was.
Being the genius I was, I decided it'd be best to wander southwards. Somewhere in my adolescent brain I believed that would lead me to my goal, I'd wanted to explore the city anyway. It was only after an hour of walking that I collapsed onto a bench in front of a store. Or at least attempted to.
The second before I sat I heard a sharp gasp. I immediately jumped up, fearing I was about to sit on wet paint or a cute puppy. Instead a girl pushed past me and scooped up something resting on the bench.
It clicked for me, I knew the girl, she was the same quiet blond who had been sitting next to me in class. “A-Ah Testarossa-san right?”
She looked at me over her shoulder before moving over to the bushes behind the bench, she made no noise as she walked. There, she opened her hands and released... a small cockroach into the bushes. She then turned to face me. “Please be careful Harlaown-san.” Her voice was soft but firm, like a mother gently scolding a child. “You never know who was there first.”
I was surprised, most girls I knew would have been terrified to even see a cockroach, let alone bring it to safety. I was even feeling a tad queasy knowing I had almost sat on it. However I managed to nod, “Ah, yes I'll be more careful from now on.”
She looked relieved, “Thank you,” she smiled, I was reminded of a painting of an angel I had seen once, her smile had been so pure and beautiful, but it had rung hallow and surreal. “I'll see you in class then.” She turned to go on with her business.
“W-Wait!” I called out, stopping her in her tracks. “I think I'm lost,” I rubbed the back of my head, “I know we've barely met but could you help me around?”
She stopped and seemed to contemplate my request before turning back around. “Well I can't just leave you here can I?”
I sighed happily, “Thank you very much.” It had to be destiny that I happened along to her.
“And here is the Yagami Cosplay Family restaurant. Supposedly it's one step up from being a cosplay cafe but I can't seem to find the difference.”
I chuckled as Testarossa-san, who's first name coincidentally turned out to Fate, motioned to the light red awning of the restaurant. “It could be fun to go there sometime.”
Fate nodded in agreement, “But you'd have to be careful, Hayate Yagami-san is known for dressing up any customers she likes.”
“You say that like you have experience Testarossa-san.”
The crimson color she turned gave me all the answer I needed. “Anyway,” She shook off her blush. “Where were you intending to go?”
“Oh! I'd almost forgotten,” Fate such a pleasant person I'd forgotten about my goal, “I'm looking for a bakery!”
“Heh,” she looked sorry, “I'm afraid I'll need more than that to go off of.”
“Well it's owned by the Takamachi family.”
It might have been my imagination but I swore she tensed a bit. “You mean Midori-ya?” She seemed to think for a minute, “I'll take you there, it's not far.”
“Y-you don't have to. I'm sure I can get by with just directions,” if something was bothering her I really didn't want to impose, she'd already been too kind.
“No really I've brought you this far,” again she reminded me of a mother, willing to do something she didn't like for her child.
“Ah so this is Midori-ya,” I rubbed my chin, it was a cute little shop. “Please let me treat you to something Testarossa-san, you've done so much for and I'm a stranger really.”
“No no I couldn't, Harlaown-san. I got to meet you, so I'm pleased,” She folded her hands behind her back, “besides my mother will be worried if I don't come home soon.”
I sighed, “Alright but I promise I'll pay you back somehow.”
“I'll be waiting,” she waved slightly then walked off, disappearing into the crowd.
I hadn't learned much more about her then her name, but I already could tell I wanted to know more about this girl, but that'd have to wait for later. I pushed open Midori-ya's doors.
The small cafe was quite hopping. Teenagers of all sorts seemed to have come to eat the treats they sold. However, I couldn't spy the one girl I was looking for. I stepped into the line, it seemed my only option was to wait then. I turned to face the display shelf, peering at the sweet delicacies inside. That was when it happened, that was when I got the shock of my life.
That was when someone squeezed my butt... hard.
“Yes... I do think that maid outfit will fit you.”
A. Demand to know who the hell is grabbing my butt
B. Ask politely why the hell they're grabbing my butt
C. Scream like a little girl
And thus the trinity was complete. Big and blue choices please
